I work as a tier 1 tech support for a small company. Ever since the scamdemic
ended, my employer has been working me ragged at my job. We're re-modeling the
entire building I work at and I'm solely responsible for tearing apart and
remodeling all of the desks, which means lots of lifting, bending over, getting
under the desks, running CAT 6 cables, etc... It's extremely messy and
physically demanding. Before this, the job was fairly paced and I just filed
tickets for our end users. Now I'm 100% back in the office (previous 100% WFH),
filling tickets and ripping apart desks all day and it's absolutely grueling
work and I hate it. On top of that, I don't even make $21 an hour and I'm THE
ONLY support tech in the building. I like the job because it's 10 minutes down
the road, and it's in a rural town and 95% of my co workers are White. Should I
tell my boss to give me a raise or I'm going somewhere else? I honestly need to
steer my career in a better direction eventually anyway, as I don't plan working
a tier 1 support role forever. Should I fuck off now with all of the bullshit
that was thrown on my plate? Help me bros
