----------- Keynote: Looking Ahead to 2024 & Beyond: ADA/Cardano Summit Dubai 2023! -----------
The price of the native token of smart contract platform Cardano, ADA, has been slowly climbing over the past week to outperform a number of other cryptocurrencies, with the gain being accompanied by growing whale transactions and ADA address activity.
Cardano ADA has risen significantly, hitting more than $0.31, with analysts such as John Morgan predicting a 40% increase due to increased transaction volumes. More bullish projections, such as those from Lucid, predict that ADA will reach $30 in the next decade as global inflation drives the

Is it easy to use? I’ve heard it uses Haskell which no one wants to use to develop for. The only time I’ve really seen a lot of traction for ADA is when crypto influencers shilled it like crazy last bull run. It never really went anywhere though. Why would governments use ADA when they can spin up their own app chain easily on cosmos or an eth L2? It’s not like everyone is flush with Haskell devs
Crypto options sound interesting. 0DTE on my favorite volatile asset must be really fun. Anyway. 1. I'm curious on how much liquidity your platform has for each options. I'm not very knowledgeable on options but from my limited understanding someone has to buy/sell your long/short position to close the position unless you want to exercise it, what happens if no one wants to buy/sell it? 2. By the way what happens when you exercise the option? Who's crypto are we buying/selling? Can you even exercise the option in the first place? 3. I've noticed that you provided options for mainly ERC tokens, are you planning on providing options for other crypto currencies like Solana or ADA or even other L2 like Matic? Do you have a criteria for what cryptocurrencies you choose to make options, what are the criteria? 4. Are you interested in providing options for stocks sometime in the future? Would that even be possible? 5. How do you determine how much the greeks like IV, Delta, Gama or Theta for each option affect the pricing? Is it determined by the traders or do you affect the pricing. 6. How do you avoid traders having unlimited loss with selling put options? 7. I've tried using your platform on my phone put it showed me that its unavailable. When will the web3 app be available for mobile?
Also with ADA, inputs into a smart contract can't mutate while you're waiting for the transaction associated w the contract to settle. This is large under appreciated security benefits. ETH smart contracts don't have this feature.
I have been using it with zero issues so I'm confused. What aspect of ADA is unusable?
Stuff like: Offering alternate versions of blockchains (ADA, DOT) Inter-chain operability (LINK, ATOM, RUNE to name a few) Decentralized Fianance (ETH, ADA, DOT, etc.) Cleaning up data on blockchain (GRT, Arweave kind of?) If I only want 100%, I'm going for bitcoin 100%. If I want more I'd go with ETH and ADA.
What are you guys looking at? ADA looks like it’s going back to 30 cents. Downtrend started in March and it looks like this is the rally phase where it just goes lower.
I remember watching Charles Hoskinson dump on Doge during the last bull market. He should note that ADA sits below Doge in market cap today. Doge was the better buy.
Lol this thing did like a x6-7 since I mentioned it. Threw in a casual $100 so that’s a fun profit for a day :). Now I redistribute portions of that into other solid plays and so my portfolio continues to grow. I am 100% certain my portfolio has done more multiples than yours. Enjoy your ADA or algo bags lmao
I have some, not a lot, this ADA & ONE were a few of my first buys, all three are small amounts and locked in staking. I think each has their own usage and place, but I don’t see them doing that much, each has cemented their communities, but they don’t have much traction or hype, therefore I’m just sitting waiting to sell/swap in the relatively near future.

Right after ADA! See ya in 2035.
Sounds like a great time to sell BTC for ADA then
ADA/BTC is still almost at lowest level lol
Bought the ADA dip already paying off
I understand the somewhat judgemental and aggressive response. However, the only money I'm trading with is profit I've made from trading in crypto since 2017, where I got into ADA in the 0-10c range. Unfortunately IRL I could really use the money, it was always meant to be a long hold, just can't right now\~ (buying a new house \^\_\^)
This bot will need to buy all the favorite coins from last cycle, like ADA, ALGO, XRP, MATIC, etc. Wonder how that will work out.
has he? his biggest bets were DOT and ADA. Just another random crypto influencer who is worthless
Man I thought ADA was going to be the next Ethereum last cycle but nothing ever came to fruition. I’ve personally moved on but hopefully for the bag holders sake some actual movement happens soon.
I'm definitely holding onto too much MATIC. It was just such a big player and obviously the most popular L2. But now i feel like I'm holding onto a dino-coin that'll never pump again. I've also got quite a bit of ADA, but with that project it seems like a classic that will always have a run-up in a bull-market.
Good picks. LINK, ADA, XRP, VET, MATIC; crypto that did well last bull run have a high marketcap purely based on bagholders. If you have heavy holdings in anything like that then you were exit liquidity. Personally I’m bullish on AERO and a few low market cap gems that have already had multiple X’s and should see further gains. But some people are either married to their bags (XRP) or lack fundamental understanding of marketcaps (SHIB).
i know ppl say to not have too many but i really don’t see the point of limiting yourself. you don’t know which one will do good, bad, or the best. also depends on MC, if you have $100 in 10 miniscule MCs then it makes sense. i had a couple hundred in ADA/BTC/LINK then i realised it’s pointless because i won’t be buying any more and they’re high caps so made more sense to move the money over to my low caps. if u feel like u have enough of a coin and there’s a new one u want to buy then just do that. i have 6 coins rn, £600-£1100 in each, i like to get to at least £700 then i feel like i have a decent amount, i might get rid of 2 of them because they’re moving slow, i might not, see how things go to conclude, i guess it depends on ur end goal and risk tolerance
Not huge, but check ADA for example. 6% up vs 0.5% BTC. Most likely means nothing though.
Crypto is all about narratives. I prepared all last year based on bullrun narratives, choosing a project from each one. Even after most alts losing 50%+ within the last month, my unrealized gains are ridiculous and that even after cashing out my initials. I used to be all fundamentally driven when I first got into crypto, but that’s how you get caught holding onto heavy ass useless bags like ADA, XRP, etc. I plan on dumping as soon as I hit my target and hopefully leave crypto for good into more traditional investments to earn steady passive income for the rest of my life.
As an ADA holder this joke hurts, but good one 😂
> I dont see why a flash loan couldnt exist My understanding is that it's because EUTXO is a double edged sword in this respect. On Cardano a single blockchain transaction represents activity that occurs simultaneously, not in series... and while Cardano does support chaining smart contracts, they must be chained over a series of transactions not a single transaction. The issue is that sequencing the transactions within a single block is how flash loans work in their current form. This is especially useful for protocols that need to liquidate collateral and then sell it within the same block... stuff like that. Not saying that it's impossible with EUTXO just that I haven't seen anyone build similar mechanisms with it yet. As for zk-rollups... I think they're the best way to scale ETH, ADA, and pretty every other chain that isn't sharding the state. Your point about submitting inputs and outputs in the same transaction is valid and I look forward to seeing what people build. I think it's nice to see that Cardano devs are finally adopting a more modular approach to scaling.
ADA ownership should be pre-requisite to post here.
I don’t trust ADA anymore. I think this cycle is gonna put it on relic status. If an even shittier coin Solana can vastly outperform it, then it’s got to have something to prove and it’s only been dying since the last cycle top
everyone hopes to get out of ADA
ADA about to melt faces soon
an update as to the permit2 question seperate from the other reply. its not really needed in the same way. native assets essentially being the solution. on eth instead of tokens with have eth wrapped into a smart contract, calling it x token. which may have some programability advantages, it comes with trade offs. while on cardano and other native asset standards, they are just treated as ADA. So we dont really need the permit2 stuff, as dotn jeed a smart contract to parse through things. You can just have deterministic transactions. Aka you dont need to approve everything in your wallet as a work around to a problem due to lack of native assets. You just approve an exact transaction instead of approvals. just connect to site, and then sign to approve sending say x native asset, and to receive y asset in the same tx. or just send x. But the permissions to do what you want with the wallet dont exist. hence why cardano people say we dont have wallet drainers. we cant just approve a malicious code that gradually drains are wallets. You could approve to send all your stuff through a tx, but that could just be stopped by reading the transaction itself and wondering why you are sending everything. there is also an option that would stop send all as an option that is enabled by default.
ADA being up… is how the last alt season started
When the Covid crash in March 2020 came, ADA bottomed to 0.03 (last ATH was above 1$ at this point) after that it peaked at 3$. Never say never.
#1 ADA #2 DOT #3 BCH “safer” with high potential
So very true, but I’m also confident that CRO & ADA won’t 20X from here, or even from the bottom in this Bull run.
Yeah - though if you look most alts are underperforming even BTC. Very few people make money on alts and memes when all is said and done. Price-wise it’ll probably run again when alts do. I’m not sure it will be one of the most gaining alts. At the moment I believe market is moved more by macro factors and regulation aspects than fundamentals and everyone trying to front run. I do like ADA but I’m not sure what the future holds. I still have a bit of ADA. Glad you didn’t lose too much!

ADA and it's ecosystem projects looking pretty sad right now
I hold ADA, UNI, GRT, FIL, DOGE out of these.
ADA/DOT is with Matic. Forever and ever
$10 ADA it has been written 🙌
Why are ETH and ADA *more* susceptible to the $5 wrench attack than BTC is? Are you telling me that I *can't* hit you, your beautiful wife, and your 5 year-old child hard and repetitively enough with a $5 wrench to get you to give up your BTC?
ETH and ADA are very susceptible to a [$5 wrench attack](https://xkcd.com/538/). BTC, not so much. People that try to compromise BTC have given up on the base protocol and are using layer 2's and derivatives to co-op. Where does XMR sit on the EDI?
I swear I always learn the most about pros and cons of ADA from the comments. I am looking forward to it again!
I really like ETH and ADA right now, lots of predictable growth. Look for decent market cap, good team and community when picking!! Maybe you'll find this sub useful: https://www.reddit.com/r/DailyLedger/
I personally don’t think any of the coins you’re in or going into more are good. It’s totally my opinion, nobody knows. But ADA & Algo aren’t that bullish imo, they’re basically ghost chains. If you’re looking for L1 ‘ethereum killers’ there are far better ones on the market now like Sei and soon Monad. Also maybe Sui. Besides that I think there are other narratives that are more logical than ada/algo. But this is totally my opinion and I know as much/little as anyone.
ADA is the biggest scam. What the heck does it even do?
I am consolidating my portfolio in preparation for the alt coin rally after halving. Should I get rid of DOT and XRP to buy more ADA, ALGO and VET?
The new moons website looks really nice. When the last bull run ended how did coins crash so hard, how much timr did it take let's say for ADA to go from 3$ to 0,3€
I just don't understand how ADA is still alive
I still don't understand why people invest so heavily in ADA if they're trying to make money. The circulating supply alone will never lead to big gains and never has.
Put the ADA into Cardano native tokens if you’re so worried. They are basically immune from the ADA dips and they are actual functioning products with real revenue generating business models.
I am so deep in ADA, and it keeps dipping :/ . I am shit scared for my funds.
ADA is performing really bad price wise. I lost a bit of money on it. A couple nights out worth so I don’t care. You see ADA performing in the future or is it hust the staking?
Hoskinson has had the most staying power amongst the multi-project scammers in crypto who don't work a single day in their life but lives but live off off selling shitcoin scam tokens - Bitshares Co-founder - BitUSD Co-founder of algorithmic stablecoin that depegged and turned to shit - ADA vaporware bullshit hype "Cardano is going to digitize identification in Africa and IOHK is helping trace Ethiopian coffee beans through the supply chain." - graduated with an Associate Degree Front Range Community College claimed for many years he did not finish a Phd program for which he was never accepted, enrolled or had the prerequisite qualifications for If you look at some of the profiles of these scammers on Bitcointalk you'll see people like Dan Larimer and Sergey Ivancheglo thinking of how they could get more Bitcoin. The idea they come up is to sell some hyped up shitcoin to the dumb and gullible. Jed McCaleb - XRP - XLM Jusin Sun - TRON - Bittorrent Dan Larimer - EOS - Bitshares - Steem Da Hongfei and Erik Zhang - NEO - ONT Sergey Ivancheglo and Dominik Schiener - IOTA - NXT DJ Qian - Qtum - Vechain
ADA better do some convincing real quick because alot of people seem to be jumping ship with all the new shiny coins out, even though we may be in a cool off atm
Discussion was ADA, not Algo. But understandable.
Dot was one of the few I sold at the top like literally $1 off the top. So I did ok tho I wish I had sold it ALL. I still have a bit. I just meant I’d rather be stuck with ADA than DOT at this point. I guess we shall see
25% of my buy was ADA and ETH. 50% was BTC. Yea send like you have to have a good grasp of the potential. Looking forward to researching and being able to see through the red lol!
Hey, I appreciate your follow-up. When I replied, I wanted to emphasize the speculative nature of your investment strategy, especially with ADA. Allocating 50% of your portfolio based on the hope it reaches a specific price to meet your financial goals is a significant risk. This approach is less about solid investment fundamentals and more about high-stakes betting on future price increases. You've noted that ADA currently lacks a compelling narrative and strong developer engagement, which are critical elements for sustained growth. Plus, choosing ADA while dismissing other cryptos like BTC or SOL due to personal biases against their fundamentals may mean missing out on more stable opportunities. I'm not trying to dismiss your choices; rather, I'm highlighting the gamble involved and the importance of being aware of the risks. Make sure you're comfortable with these risks, including the possibility of not achieving the expected outcomes.
3 will be bare minimum, the market cap will outweigh last runs one easily (let me pull this number out of my arse - by at least 1.5 X) so everything will pump, i assume a 3.5 ADA to be safe. Still not nearly as much as possible, that's whats bugging me
I'll say this as someone with ADA as a fairly good part of my bag. At least you aren't a $3 ADA holder. They've been in the trenches for years. We'll come back for you, eventually.
I mean, ADA is doing so many great things in Africa, right?
In the same boat as you. ADA + DOT bags are really heavy now. But I am hoping for an alt season in a couple of months so I am hodling.
Held for many years, what would the best move be regarding ADA + DOT? Do people think they will actually rise again or better to cut them loose right now?
Same like ADA, went from 3 dollars to 20 cents and now hanging at 40s
I'm just wondering how ADA is still alive
This is incorrect. By design, DDOS needs to cover the physical links of 1/3+ stake weighted nodes for the network to stop confirming blocks. Targeting a single leader would only delay that leader. Your claim is wrong. Also, don't really care about Cardano. It's very clear that the market is starting to see ADA going nowhere anytime soon. ADA has been around for 8 YEARS and has nothing to show for it. 1 TPS, relatively weak TVL, virtually no DeFi activity, no NFT presence, terrible DEX volume, virtually no stablecoins (not even USDT or USDC), no institutional interest (Grayscale just removed them from their institutional product list and Coinshare Fund Flows show virtually no interest in ADA ETP products), no serious investors or influencers in crypto support it or care about it, etc. It's (incorrectly) taking an "academic" approach instead of the standard technology approach of "ship and iterate." The list goes on and on. Cardano is a garbage chain that is run by a sociopath and has a VC arm that is in charge of making ecosystem investments to attract builders - which it has failed at horribly.
ADA holders doing ok these days?
It depends if you need cash, your risk tolerate etc. I remember I was holding many coins through 2023 and sold on December before the pump, I still cannot buy them back cheaper, for example I sold ADA for 35 cents and it pumped to 70 cents It's a good chance that everything will go down next 6-12 months, but what if it's not? Timing the market is dangerous. Also if you wait long enough it will go up again. My strategy is to stop checking chart for 6 months and dca little bit
ADA stands for attention deficit anxiety. Most Cardana holders deal with ADA.
ADA is pretty consistent dumping
I bought ETH, ALGO, ADA, and even some fucking DOGE before coming to the realization that if we’re going the have a global digital money, we only need one, and everything else just crowds out the space.
I know nothing, but I am considering selling a potion of my VET or ADA or SOL or AIOZ, it’s a loss but I really am sick of holding them.
XRP just like ADA are basically stable coins.
Would you rather have users or no users? Thats the crux of it. There are loads of projects being built on SOL that arent memes. JUP, PYTH, RENDER, NOSANA, JITO and many others. I couldnt name a single ADA project.
I would swap ADA to SOL or VET, keep 15% DOT just in case
Honestly I'd keep DOT because I still believe it will do good longer term. I'm ready to average my bag down hard it it goes below $6. I also hold ADA, but unlike DOT I no longer believe ADA has the juice to last - which is why I recently sold 75% of my bag at a loss. SOL I'm late to, but I'm definitely holding on to my modest bag for later this year, I think it will rally a hell of a lot faster than ETH. I can't speak for AERO but you sound pretty confident about it. Maybe trade your ADA for AERO?
I guess it depends on the project. I don't believe that all alts will hit their ATHs but some of them surely will. I strongly believe in Polkadot, still. I am watching some upcoming L2 projects and I'm into some well known oracles like LINK and DIA (it was below $0.30 until recently), DeFi won't be the same without them. ADA, MATIC, TRX... I believe all will be back near or past their ATHs.
Shill away. I need help consolidating my altcoins. I currently have the below, having held SOL/DOT/ADA since 2021 - SOL is in the green but DOT and ADA are not. My BTC/ETH is not for discussion. 40% SOL 30% DOT 16% AERO 14% ADA What would you consolidate this into and why? All into AERO? All into something else?! Seems like a good dip to perhaps enter something new or even consolidate into one. Always had a thought that DOT would do well longer term when I originally bought in in 2021...but it's not stood up well. What would you do?
