I can’t lie, I got a few CovidKunks and CryptoKunks I bought off the KCC chain, which are exact ripoffs of the pricey ETH versions, and I’ve used them in profile pics before. I’m not much better.

All this recently turned me way on to DEXs, the one I’m going for is KuSwap bc of there fees and it’s true decentralization. The KuCoin community chain is the mainnet it is on and is not actually belonging to KuCoin, it was made by anonymous developers who believe in true defi. I liked this bc Binance chain is owned by Binance so that’s a red flag.. I mean how decentralized can that ever really be…. There are some other great projects on KCC as well. Hope it can be successful I think it’s what this space is all about.. true financial freedom.. anyway wish me luck and I’d anyone had any other recommendations wishing defi lmk pls thanks!

Arbitrum is a different network that's also available as an option. Check for the transaction in your withdrawal history in your Kucoin account, click that entry and it should show the details, including the network you chose. If it's KCC network, contacting Kucoin is probably your best option. If it's Arbitrum, then you might have to contact Coinbase instead. If Coinbase supports Arbitrum network (check if you can select Arbitrum network when depositing USDT), then it's up to Coinbase on whether or not they can recover the funds. Considering it's still a case of network mismatch, I'm sorry to say but don't get your hopes up 😅

It was $800 worth of USDT. I contacted Kucoin support again and they said I did not send via KCC but Arbitrum - does that make sense to you? I REALLY appreciate your help.

fuck me. I realized I used the KCC network (Kucoins network?) and should have used ETH to go from Kucoin to Coinbase. I am chatting with Kucoin now and they are saying the transaction is successful. What options do I have?

Not surprised at the KCS holding. It's the gateway token into their KCC network so anyone interfacing with that chain usually holds a good chunk of KCS.

They have their own chain KCC and kcs is used as gas. Also if you hold more than 6 kcs you get part of profit of kucoin earnings in a single day. Kucoin is better than shitty exchanges having token with no value added to system

Many exchanges practice safe CEX lol. FTW collapse was good in long run transparency will be force on to market even without regulation.. exchanges will have to comply if they want users. I like KuCoin the most t personally they always are transparent and make you full if they’ve been at fault. But you can always invest in a dex if your still super scared, that’s why I hedge between KuCoin and a dex called Kuswap on their mainnet KCC. Nice to have your feet in both sides

Not just the BSC chain. There are a few exchange-linked blockchains such as BSC, Cronos and KCC which are linked to Binance, CDC and KuCoin respectively. I’m sure there are others. Tokens on exchange-linked blockchains are likely backed by the exchanges themselves and if the exchanges go down, these tokens would likely become worthless (see solana sollet tokens and FTX). You can keep the native coins (like BNB, CRO, KCS) on these chains for the long term but for anything else you should hold them on their native chains (ETH on Ethereum, BTC on Bitcoin blockchain, ADA on Cardano, etc).

Same question goes to kucoin: KCC is run only by kucoin's validators, isnt it?

But that is case only when the KCC bridge goes under.

Why risk your stuff using Bridget versions over KCC? To save few cents or dollars in fees? Withdraw to a cold if possible or to a exodus or to different native wallets and move on.

There are much more bridge that is safe and well better secured is well. I think you said absolutely true and just like you i also wouldn't trust the coin bridge that is through from the KCC actually.

i wouldn't trust coins bridged through KCC if you're worried about kucoin exposure - i pulled everything i still had on kucoin (dust really) and just cashed it out and sent it back to my back account best not to fuck around and find out - ftx contagion is gonna be huge

wrong, he's talking about KCC bridged tokens - if kucoin goes under i wouldn't trust anything relying on a KCC bridge

If I send crypto via KCC (Kucoin) net to a metamask wallet (it would require adding some custom tokens I believe), is that crypto at risk if Kucoin were to fold? Would that crypto become inaccessible or worthless without the Kucoin exchange itself? If it would not be at risk, this would be a much lower fee option to temporarily hold coins while this CEX epidemic dies down.

This week's crypto volatility teaches all of us: 1. Don't use blockchains funded by centralized exchanges e.g. Binance Smart Chain, Cronos, KCC. 2. Don't use centralized exchanges that promote their own minted tokens for trading discount e.g. Binance, FTX, KuCoin. 3. Don't trust millionaires and billionaires that are posting often on social media; they have an agenda as shown with the FTT and Solana crash.

https://defillama.com/chain/Cardano Disregard Solana, that's not the point. Cardano only has 60M of TVL in DeFi. Arbitrum has nearly 1B, Optimism has nearly 1B. "Thorchain" has 100M. "Cantos" has 80M. KCC and RSK both have about as much as Cardano has locked in DeFi. I've never heard of either of those chains, have you? The point is that $60M is pithy. One whale can't even use it yet without using up 100% of the liquidity.

tldr; KuCoin’s 5th Anniversary, KuCoin Community Chain (KCC) together with KuCoin Wallet and Windvane jointly hold KCC Beowulf campaign. More than 20 projects and protocols that have been deployed on KCC participated in the event, including decentralized exchanges (DEX), lending protocols, wallets, and cross-chain bridges. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article.
