I feel like there's something I'm missing because it's such a weird target and trading pattern.

NAV floor always drops before redemptions close. There’s nothing unique about BTWN. Shares need to be settled so you could not purchase shares at $6 on 10/5 and redeem on 10/6. Last day to buy and redeem was 10/4, at which point it was within a penny or two of NAV.
No issue. Almost every spac has that language. Not going to be an issue for BTWN with their FPAs and non-redemptions.

The NAV floor drops out before redemptions close because you need settled shares to submit a redemption request. If you buy the day before redemptions close you can't take advantage of the arb opportunity and redeem because your shares won't settle in time. Nothing about the share price dropping prior to the merger (or the redemption deadline) is unique to BTWN as this happens to the vast majority of SPAC's heading into merger since mid 2021. This may well pop but it won't be due to the floor dropping out before redemptions close. Also using random Stocktwits comments in your DD is really low effort, that place is a cesspool.

Anyone know what's happening with BTWN? Got a COAC today about redeeming shares.
BTWN has scheduled a October 10, 2023 shareholder meeting to vote for business combination with MoneyHero Ltd. MoneyHero is a China based company. The 424B3 prospectus registers the shares underlying the warrants, so the warrants ***might*** be exercisable 30 days after the merger closes. There were 15,093,034 public shares after redemptions at the extension meeting last year. Bridgetown Holdings Ltd, part of the sponsor group, [holds 5 million Class A shares](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1815086/000121390020032890/xslF345X03/ownership.xml), so about 10 million non-sponsor public shares remain after those redemptions. THE BTWN sponsor held Class A shares will be subject to lock up. You can always hope/pray for a repeat of BSAQ.WS -> VFSWW.
Anyone still following $BTWN? I had written off the warrants I still have. Volume today for both was substantially higher than usual. Any thoughts?
Was thinking more about heavy redemptions. BTWN has about $155 million in the trust, with the minimum cash condition set at "not less than $50 million". So if > 11 million shares get redeemed, that might be a problem. BTWN insiders own almost half the shares, but think the majority of those shares are the sponsor shares, not public ( redeemable ) shares. The prospectus does say the sponsors might buy some redeemed shares, if necessary to meet that minimum cash condition; and that they have non-redemption agreements with FWD, "a pan-Asian life insurance company majority owned by Pacific Century". So hopefully they have that all covered.

Why are BTWN warrants still above 0.20 - Hyphen is a joke company. Peter and Richard suck so much, they couldn't find a company to merge with in South East Asia(there are many decent companies). Instead they are settling to merge with a shit company backed Richard Li who is one of the founders of BTWN. The company stated that the amount secured is more than its initial $20 million target. The company also confirmed that its Chief Executive Officer Sam Allen has resigned, but will stay on as a shareholder and advisor to the business. According to reports, his role will be assumed by Derek Fong and Kenneth Chan, who are representatives of Hyphen’s biggest shareholder Pacific Century Group, as interim CEOs. Peter Thiel was riding high and SPACs were a golden goose so it kinda made sense at the time. BTWN could've had Rumble if they wanted it but I think they were hellbent on an Asian target. Blows my mind so many of these supposed smart dealmakers squandered the strongest bull market in human history.
Hyphen was in talks to SPAC with PAQC at one point over a year ago. There wasn't much reaction. Hyphen seems small and honestly a poor get for Thiel/BTWN. But any deal is better than no deal, so best bet is probably a low float upon deSpacing and maybe .40s on warrants? Can't see much upside.

OK $BTWN, the Peter Thiel, Richard Li SPAC that was rumoured to take Circle.Life public had their one year extension vote pass last week. Not a troll - I have been into spacs since early 2020. Lost a shitload in 2021, sold most for a loss. Still hanging onto BTWN and SVFA warrants at an 80% loss. But seriously - why is anybody still trading/following spacs? Aside from a pre-merge ARB play, there is no money to be made anymore. Betting on redemption squeezes/deal terminations is no way to invest money. I just don't see how anybody is profiting here anymore. Hate to say it, but SPACs are finally dead.
Pre DA SPAC commons can be good for covered calls or spreads if you sell 3-5 months out. Boring but pretty good returns for the risk. Only real risk is a merger getting all the way from announcement to completion before the option expires, so you can shorten the timeline to manage risk. I currently have a fair amount spread across IPOF, BTWN, IGAC, PIPP and IPOD

BTWN close to 52 week low. Still a little bit of a premium because it's a Thiel SPAC. DA could be imminent though. Over 1m in spend last quarter.
$BTWN and $LUXA warrants close to all time lows today. They're both in the low .90s which is still high compared to many other pre-DA warrants but they both have solid teams, high expenses and massive volume recently. I don't currently have a position in either (I prefer warrants between .70-.80) but thought some might be interested. On another note, nice to see $GIIX warrants pop 30% despite it having been at 1.30 before it DA'd

They did, however I believe that was due to the leak from Bloomberg on "advanced talks" with Traveloka which I remember being called off (quick Google showing articles from the beginning of September). Remember Q3 ended September 30th, they are not forward looking. FPAC is the big winner so far. Also in SEAH RBAC IPOD IPOF BTWN GGPI BENE MCMJ. At $10-$20 per spread, it’s affordable to diversify. Any one of those going above $12.50 will pay for all the rest. I just kinda shoot from the hip.
