ben graham in the talks i have seen with him, is not trying to beat the market or even achieve consistent market returns. He is trying to beat the 60/40 portfolio with super safe investments. He will miss the nvidia's of the world every time, but he also misses blowups . When I think of him, i think HD, Texas Instruments, steady growers with value, nothing sexy. At the end of the day you have to do you and what you are comfortable with, me I am a bit of a gambler at heart so my portfolio is like 30% high dividend, 20 percent spy, 20 percent growth leaning towards tech, 10 percent turn around stories, example rig(once i realized it wanst going bk i bought a shares over 6 moth period, avg under 3....i think it can go back to 30 or 40....Lastly, remainder I trade, not daily but more like monthly to 6 monthly....my fav is DE, it moves up for a while then tanks....it does this frequently, so i have probably been in and out 10 times in last 5 years. Things to trade and not own, retail, auto, airlines. The research for trades keeps me up to date....good luck, don't get married to any one strategy, date it, see if you like it, maybe a newer prettier one comes around that fits you better

I don't think you have a correct understanding of what dbt is. It's just generating SQL and submitting that to Snowflake in an order driven by the DAG it generates. All the computer/transformation happens within Snowflake, thus no real cost savings directly (assuming equally performant and solid code being ran through streams/tasks/whatever. People like to say Databricks is cheaper than Snowflake, and while that's true from a strictly dollars per credit perspective, it's really not the full picture. In Databricks you also have to take into account cloud compute, networking, and all the personnel/training involved to upskill on cloud infrastructure and its best practices. You also generally need to know how to write pyspark (although for a lot of data engineering you can just use dbt or delta live table) Alternatively, Snowflake is all inclusive and everything is SQL. That means you can either leverage your existing DBAs or source someone much cheaper with a DBA skillset. Toss in dbt, and everything is still SQL. I work with billion dollar companies on both platforms from both a DE/ML/Analytics space as a chief architect in consulting for context.

This. They are soooo far from legalization. SAFE (now SAFER) banking act needs to pass first. A similar bill passed the house something like 11 times. Finally made it through senate committee last Sept. Despite being a "priority" still no vote in the senate. Federal convictions need to be resolved - making progress. Tax policy needs to be created - no movement. Laws around limits and usage need to be created - no movement. Rescheduling - great, but needs to be DE-scheduled, otherwise it's still a controlled substance. Biden has stated he prefers to leave it to the states. My bet - Fed will follow states only after vast majority legalize and supreme court rulings force legislative branch to do something. 5-10 years out.

Not really correlated in my opinion. Some companies consistently beat expectations and one day they will post poor guidance leading to a sell-off. DE comes to mind from a couple months ago. Or maybe they beat expectations because they consistently post poor guidance? Either way, I would actually be interested in a tool that could actually give me a 2-3 line summary of the guidance, past guidances alongside with EPS expectations/actuals and resulting daily/weekly stock movement (considering most of the move happens pre or post market).

I loaded ALTM @ 4.65. So if post merger price had to be $12.47, then I am waiting minimum of $10 in 1-2y horizon. Great upside opportunity considering ALTM marketcap is $4.5B and should be somewhat $10.6B. I do not believe it to go lower than $4. Only yesterday +10% on good ALB/SQM news due to "Chile opens lithium salt flats." Also worth noting: Elon Musk Is Betting On Lithium And I Am Too With Lithium Argentina Tesla - Is building a lithium refinery in Texas as well as signing new lithium supply agreements with Piedmont Lithium (PLL). BYD - Is considering a car plant in Mexico. Exxon - Is expanding next door to Standard Lithium in Arkansas to get into Lithium. Shell (SHEL) - Closing hydrogen fuel stations in California. Ford - Is waking up and smelling the inflation coffee. They plan on producing cheaper EV's. Volkswagen (OTCPK:VWAGY) - Still pushing forward with EV. The company plans on pushing out 25 models of EV by 2030. John Deere (DE) - Is making an EV tractor. EnerSys - Selects South Carolina for a $500 million EV Battery plant.

Its a pretty common investment strategy but I look for companies that have large moats. Functional monopoly on search and diversified into growing arenas of AI, Media, Cloud. I honestly believe google will be a true benefactor of any AI related profit (if there is any). Also there facial recognition tech (project nimbus) partnered with AMZN is dope. The tech giants could easily enter into more military projects. **Google** was the most recent opportunity. I put 10% of my port into it from 136->133. Functional U.S. duopoly **DE** \- 4% bought the earnings sell off at 364 **CAT -** 4% bought the earnings sell off at 330 **PFE** \- 6% bought at 26.. dividend was 6%.. which is better than a MM. They made so much money from COVID and have an endless pipeline for pharma. Nothing special in the pipeline here in terms of huge sellers like the weight loss pills. Not looking for huge upside here but something in the range of mid 30's. Primarily a stable stock at this price. I'm currently looking at PANW, COST, SNOW, and GTLB. GTLB (PT 50 )and SNOW (PT 148-154) - Very speculative purchases if i make them. I think GTLB has a chance of being bought out. It's a critical software in a lot of companies with some really incredible integrations. SNOW - Needs more research but I think the news of the CEO stepping down is overblown. PANW - Needs more research. I know its PE is high, however from the little knowledge i have its a critical firewall software that my fortune 500 company leans on aggressively. It's been around for a long time. I need to get a better understanding of possible competitors within Zscalar, CRWD, Cisco.

Posting my current watchlist: CVS, CVX, OXY, & DE. But of course, in the future there may be better opportunities than these

if gambling on stocks, it is at least theoretically possible that if you are better at analysis of a company's fundamentals than other investors you can beat them. e.g., I'm a lawyer and I bet that twitter's acquisition would be forced by the DE Chancery Court—I am better at legal analysis than the market (for some reason the market did not read Matt Levine or take him seriously), and that was a rare case where the merits very strongly pointed in one direction, the entire company's value hinged on it, and the market strongly pointed the other direction. there's no such superior information with crypto. there is no analysis, no way to interpret the trades, no way to assess a "fundamental value" for it that would give you an edge trading it against anyone else. so far the best we have is that its price seems to be inversely correlated with the interest rates set by the federal reserve. sort of ironic that its price swings follow directly from action by central banks, but that's the best anyone's got right now. my suspicion is that its price floor is partly a function of large criminal enterprises who use cryptocurrency to move money internationally, and that its price ceiling is a function of how many gullible investors have too much money that they haven't figured out how to make productive. but I have no idea

The markets tend to move money from impatient hands to patient hands. Degens going full regard on 0DE options are gonna have a bad time. You can actually see the moment he went full regard on options in the chart.

One more comment, as of March 5, 2024, ToughBuilt has hit most of the large European Tool conventions and trade shows. Hardware Show 2024 (Dublin Ireland) 18 - 19 Feb International Hardware Fair (Eisenwarenmesse) in Cologne, DE from 3rd-6th, March 2023: Silverstone, Troy (Northamptonshire, United Kingdom.) (Troy Means Business 2023) BouwBeurs event in 2023 (Netherlands) They hired a new marketing manager in Europe about 15 months ago. He is on LinkedIn, and he seems to be making things happen. We are watching for more UK and European announcements, but really we just want to see more stores carrying their products with in-stock inventory. In the US, I would like to see Menards carry their hard goods in-store, and Home Depot to carry anything...

We we have big movement like in CRWD, you wouldn’t expect IV crush for options expiring this Friday? Just curious as to what you’d think, because my calls expire Friday and I am expecting some Iv crush since they are basically 0DE. Tbf I’m a regard so I have no idea what to expect

Lawyers get like 33% on personal injury cases. 10% for saving shareholders $50B in value seems a bit low. Further, it’s not about Elmo’s likability; it’s about shareholders. He should take this question back to shareholders for a vote: does the CEO whom splits his time among a minimum of 3 corporations entitled to the $50B that he lost in a pro-business DE court

Hey @sergio55 are you still using the inverse iron condore? I tested QQQ 10DE 1% OTM puts and calls with a very wide sell side on both is actually a money glitch in today’s volatile market. I tried on other stocks but looks like works best only with the QQQ.

Technical recession for JD and DE, not steep. UK is still digesting Brexit, so they are in more trouble. China looks to be a bit in recovery mode again and will soon expand the automobile exports, they'll be alright.

Currently invested in below. $ACIC (American Coastal Services) - I like their financials and feel they are currently undervalued. I expect to sell off in a few months. $FIX (Comfort Systems USA) - been holding for a year. Good financials, might be getting overpriced now though. $DE (Decisive Dividend Coro) - a long term hold, see good value here and I like the acquisitions the company has made so far. $MOD (Modine Manufacturing) - been holding for a year. Uncertain about their potential to keep groeing, so might sell off soon. $PALT (Paltalk) - entered recently, short term hold. There is a pending patent lawsuit between Paltalk and Cisco with trial in 1-2 months where I expect Paltalk to win and the winnings this isnt priced into Paltalk’s current share value. $DQ (Daqo Energy) - entered this few days ago after their latest earnings. Stock price been in decline for long time until now, but their financials look good and they are optimizing their margins despite competition in their market. Think its undervalued currently. I’ve been looking at entering $DAVE but I think the stock price increase since their Q3 results isn’t justified yet so I’ expecting a drop in price after Q4 results on March 5 and will buy after that probably.
