Of course. It’s your money. I’ve been in the space industry more than two decades and I hold zero space stock. I know too much. Ha! This business consists of a lot of nerds who know a lot about space, but very little about business. But Peter Beck is a sharp guy and could be one of the few to take Elon on. If you like space, check out RDW which is around the same price. I don’t own their stock, but they have a solid business model.
Puts on RDW after that LUNR fiasco, space stocks are cursed.

LOL FUCK NO. I've looked at space companies and my bet is an unpopular one but one thing continues to remain the same amongst many space companies and that is: SPACE IS HARD!!! Delays are guaranteed, does your company have enough runway for those delays or are they going to need to raise in shit conditions? Does management have experience and are they being honest because chances are they're just being way too optimistic. Space is so fucking hard. RKLB is definitely one of the better space companies but you're dealing with such a slow timeline and consistent delays dude. Space will become a big thing when 1: 1. Starship is operational 2. Neutron is operational These are the two big important parts because it gives other companies access to space at more affordable prices. It also promotes competition. 3. Favourable startup environment 4. Problems being solved. Looking at problems, comms are being solved by Starlink and my baby, $ASTS, give that 3 years to really show results. Next you have observation, BKSY, PL and a few others but that's likely to get saturated. You could definitely expect to see non visual observation type satellites but I cant speak on that. 5. Specialized development systems. Looking at you redwire corp, piece of shit stock atm but give it 5-6 years. What we're looking at here is extremely specialized material science development since well uhh, its 0G in space so like yea you can do weird science shit idk I dont touch RDW atm. We're also looking at 3D printed organs with the recipients own DNA, gotta get those launch and return costs somewhere manageable and this is going to be far more accessible. TL;DR it's gonna be a very long wee while before OP is correct unless the market goes fucking bonkers.

My grandmother read an article in the newspaper about them last year and when she told me about RR’s ambitions in space I got interested and after some research I added a few stocks to my portfolio. Let‘s see what the recession in the UK does now but I‘m in it for the long term and don’t care what happens in the next few months.

Redwire (RDW) I think it is going to make some huge gains. Has a few decent patents. Its a SPAC merge of a couple of space technology companies. I'm long on this one.

Been tracking the space sector for a while and waiting for an appropriate entry. A few of these names were popular in the Spac days before people viewed them as cursed 😂 The latest NASA news contract put RDW back in the light.

RKLB, PL and RDW the only companies here that have a chance at being relevant in 10 years IMO. Nothing you said is false so wait it out a few years until we have companies like SpaceX, Relativity, Blue Origin, etc. on the public markets
I’m building up a doomsday portion of my portfolio. RTX bc they were oversold after their powdered steel kerfuffle/recall LMT bc the HIMARS are so effective in Ukraine RDW (moonshot, small cap, hemorrhages money) bc they seem positioned to get contracts for satellite defense spending. Can’t guide missiles or coordinate attacks if someone is knocking out your space assets. PLTR (moonshot) bc their software is being field tested in Ukraine and using AI to shorten the kill chain seems terrifyingly promising KTOS (moonshot) for satellite communication/rockets I’m also picking up stocks that may benefit from deglobalization/friendshoring. Mainly with lithium, potash, and semiconductors, for now. With global tensions on the rise, key infrastructure elements will be more attractive if they aren’t originating from, or passing by, unfriendly nations. Source: I’m an idiot, don’t listen to me

Any ideas why INVZ, RDW and BBAI warrants went a bit crazy today?
We have simlair portfolios its sounds like. I highly recommend RKLB as well. They are clearly the best option as far as investing in public company, where as ASTR and RDW as well as SPCE are all far less proven and established. I personally think Peter Beck is a smart guy - and RKLB will be big. THe success of Neutron will either make or break them.
Other ASTS investors have told me that they're interestes in 1. ORGN 2. PCT 3. HUMA 4. RKLB 5. RDW
I mean, tbh, I was just giving my personal opinion. Wasn't really looking to convince anyone - just provide some info yk. I am interested in both companies but RDW is my preference. I think you're ignoring the fact that 1 company is valued around 2b while the other is around 200m - yet they're making about the same revenue. Redwire has already proven its ability to raise cash should have enough cash into 2024. More info on that would be found on most recent earnings call. To your last point - I LIKE RocketLab; I just dont wanna buy stock while it's valued so high.
RKLB's revenue stood at $54.89m, this is similar to RDW's revenue of $57.61m. However, RDW's cost of goods sold and operating expenses are higher, which resulted in a loss of $61.54m, vs a loss of $45.63m posted by RKLB. From what I can see, RKLB's revenue is growing steadily, with their losses shrinking, it still remain to be seen if RDW can shrink their losses too. RKLB has cash assets of $242.5m, minus 7% of this that is stuck in SVB, currently... vs cash assets of $28.3m posted on RDW's balance sheet. Long term debt is similar in both companies, with RKLB being slightly higher at $100m, vs $74m from RDW. I don't know, from a fundamental perspective, RDW looks like they'll run out of cash fairly quickly, without some kind of capital raise from the equity or debt markets. Plus, RKLB has proven record of launches, which is extremely rare in the space industry, I still like RKLB over the others in the space right now.
Yeah that's why I said more words after that lol Rocketlab isn't profitable yet it's at approx 2b market cap. They're losing a massive amount of cash every year and their revenue is far off from 2b. They have a fair chunk of cash but the problem is that they have to spend so much of it. Redwire is burning cash but not at all on the level that RKLB is. RDW is significantly closer to profitability. Plus, it's not in the rocket space so it doesn't have to compete with the significant amount of companies that are all trying to make rockets.

Nice never heard of $RDW before. Do you have positions in both? Also have you heard about $ASTS they aim to make a space based mobile network. I have a position in ASTS, definitely thinking about RKLB. But I fear this Jan will be a bad month stocks in general and there may be further dilution in RKLB.
Why? It’s just another ticker for Branson to sell stock of lol. BKSY / PL / ASTS / RDW / VLD / RKLB are the current space tickers that actually have something going for them BKSY - Satellite imagery, basically space-PLTR, 200m marketcap despite locking in **two separate** $6b-over-10y contracts PL / RKLB - Building space systems, RKLB also launches RDW - Government contract for “First orbital defense system” in early 2022 VLD - 3d printing, Cathie Woods owns 14% of the company at an average of around $9~ There are plenty of good space companies to speculate on but you seem to only be buying ones owned by Branson who is actively selling shares at the ATL. It just doesn’t make sense

Some unloved picks: ADSE battery buffered EV chargers growing 100%+ and at just 1.5 P/S. RDW the only profitable space SPAC and cheap. Already selling goods manufactured in space, which no one se is doing. OUST will likely become the Lidar industry leader after its merger with Velodyne. $165m of revenue next year and focused on industrials and robotics rather than autos like Luminar. Breaks even in 24/5 and trading at only $150m over combined cash, so EV is less than revenue. Some more high quality names: I reckon Planet will turn into a SaaS powerhouse in a few years and STEM is the best energy storage stock.
