For once this year, TSLA is helping RIVN.
The big brain play was buying at the money RIVN calls and possibly making some association gains without the IV risk.
DCA daily into blue chips.. $10 to VOO, $5 to APPL, $5 AMZN, $5 MSFT etc then choose a couple speculative stocks to DCA into like RKLB/ASTS/RIVN. Slow and steady with a foundation of proven strong stocks with a weighted ETF
You could avoid some of the IV destruction and play RIVN. I'm bullish on them despite the entire EV sector across the globe getting it's anus pulled out like Bubble Tape. But if you think Tesla is going to go down, maybe just bet on more downies from alternate EV players

If TSLA, MARA, RIVN, and DJT could all just die that would be great. 
I hope so too because my losses on RIVN are mounting lol. $11.50 cost basis and will buy more at under $8. Don't have a huge position but it's one of my 10+ year holds where I'm hoping to see serious gains. My faith in Rivian is rooted entirely in their design sensibilities, which, like Apple in the early 2000s, I think is a huge factor in future potential.

The problem for small EV has always been the bigger automakers can squash them at scale as soon as EV tech allows the mile ranges that consumers require. That said, I am also holding leaps on RIVN because I do believe they will return to growth and they are just too cheap not to buy. I'm betting that rolling leaps for the next 3-6 years will be quite worthwhile.
I wanted to get in RIVN but their financials are so crazy bad. RJ says they will Q4 gross margin positive (idk with high interest rates). Everyone shitting on TSLA but their financials are astounding. Siting on $30 billion cash. They are in complete control. Don’t let the media fool you. RIVN has 50/50 chance to make it on their own. Interest rates coming down would certainly help
Using my same shitty math (market cap / gross revenue) where I totally ignore EIBTA: DJT: $4,540,000,000 / $4,100,000 = 1,107.32 RIVN: $8,440,000,000 / $4,434,000,000 = 1.90 AMD: $236,990,000,000 / $22,700,000,000 = 10.44
RiVN has a market cap of 8.5 billion, a revenue of about 5 billion, is losing billions a year, and has 4.5 billion in debt. If AMC is worth less than 1 billion market cap, how is RIVN undervalued with an almost 10 times larger market cap. It really isn't.
I'm out of RIVN. I bought at 8.38 and realized it was a risky play, sold at 8.7.
TSLA has more downside here. And RIVN is just a bad idea here. Likening them to Tesla is dangerous. Tesla has the tech nerd and luxury market and can afford to reduce prices to gain market and compete on the low end. RIVN is struggling where they are. Despite their unit sales increase, I don't see an upside for them long term. The overall drop in EV pricing by 18% will have more impact on the smaller manufacturers. RIVN trucks actually look good and would have utility as a truck, cybertrucks look like shit and seem fukin useless. Too bad RIVN stock performance is basically tied to TSLA.

Their stock price is down because their financials suck right now in tandem with being in a high interest rate environment relative to the last 20 years. They’re hemorrhaging money right now and will have to dilute shares guaranteed before they hit profitability. What’s not guaranteed is whether or not they just go under due to people not having enough money to buy their cars due to high interest rates or even a recession where the fed has to lower interest rates. They’re also competing against a larger EV market right now. It’s not like when TSLA was just starting and EVs weren’t really a thing. RIVN is a fool’s investment until later this year maybe when(if) they hit positive gross profit margin and/or when the fed lowers interest rates.
Still somehow up on my RIVN position, but I don't see it lasting with this relentless selling.

Now that Elon has decided to give up on making new EVs and instead is going to dump huge amounts of money on overpriced Nvidia GPUs to pad Jensens wallet, this is a great chance for TSLA shareholders to sell and buy RIVN
RIVN feels like it wants to rocket so badly
The only way Amazon buys up RIVN or part of it, is if they believe that there is a way they can improve their logistics by building their own vehicles as opposed to contracting to buy them. People think of Amazon as an online retailer (and AWS, but leave that aside for this) when the correct way to think about Amazon is as a logistics company whose profits on retail are dependent on how efficient they can move goods from point A to B. Part of the reason Amazon will see its profit skyrocket the next couple of years is because their logistical efficiency is increasing rapidly. In any case, going back to RIVN, Amazon's sole interest in building their own vehicles would be if doing so would enable them to improve their logistics sufficiently to make it worthwhile.
My move today is to hold my RIVN shares. Thoughts?!

I’ve never wanted to see someone win more than I do now. GL! Great product but a lackluster management team and horrible fundamentals. I grabbed a few shares myself just because I love the product & the risk reward at this prices just makes sense, but the reality is pretty ugly. Within the next 3 years, RIVN either declares bankruptcy, gets a bailout (public or private), issues a large amount of new shares — which would result in significant dilution — or gets bought out (part of me thinks Apple or Amazon should buy them, but that’s just a wacky intrusive thought). Do you have a thesis behind this yolo? Would love to hear your logic behind this one. I’d love to see RIVN succeed.
