You should be 100% in the market if you are young. I am retired and all my working life advisors pushed international funds and bonds; I ignored their advice and stayed in my comfy S&P 500 index fund. As far as your comment on bonds, I have yet to buy a CD or a dividend ETF. But I have own shares of AGEPX, paying a heck of a lot more than CDs or dividend ETFs.
