Ok, I would be very suprised if it were to drop below 1.29, if it did drop below your entry...and like I mentioned before, its a low risk play....but for learning purposes, I would just watch it. If it was a more risky stock that moves faster, I would say set a sell order at 1.38 for 50% of your shares to secure profits....but with BATL and its current situation, I would just watch its movement and volume if you can...maybe it moves into the 1.40's today.
100 shares isn't a lot for me. It's only $132 at my $1.32 entry, and I'm comfortable with that risk. I actually have enough buying power to add about 160 more, which would put me around $340–$350 total in BATL. I'm not looking to gamble the account on it. I'm trying to learn whether adding to a position that's working is smart versus getting impatient and just making the position bigger. My risk tolerance on this trade is probably around that $350 total position size. Given that, what would you personally want to see from BATL's volume/price before adding?
With BATL, because its less risky (although still risky like any penny) I don't mind holding AH. Not saying I am today, just in general. Most pennies I don't, especially the high dilution risk ones. I always watch volume with every stock I have...not just current volume but is it tailing off or still coming in at same rate. So is 100 shares alot for you and what is your risk tolerance? Will help me answe your question.
That actually helps a lot. Let’s make it specific to BATL then. I’m in 100 shares at $1.32. With the oil/war situation and yesterday’s Collide/AI news, I’m comfortable holding it right now. What I’m trying to learn is when to add. If you were already in BATL around $1.31–$1.32, would you add more while it’s holding, or would you wait for volume and a breakout before adding? And what specifically would make you take profit on BATL today?
With BATL, I buy back in based on entry price and war, oil, and any other positive news. Its a low risk play because the stock moves so slow. I often hold it for a couple hours, and if it isn't moving, just get out, because it often just barcodes. Had pretty good news yesterday so will hold it longer today. In general, with other stocks it depends on the stock, its situation, and what kind of trade, swing, day, momentum or scalp. Your question is pretty broad but I do always take profits. You should always take profits. Penny stocks are meant to hold, at least not 90% of them. If you ask me a more specific question, I can better answer it. Like a specific stock, type of trade, etc.

Battalion just announced an equity investment in Collide Industrial Technologies and became a Strategic Partner for its AI-native oil & gas operations system. The interesting parts: • Priority access to Collide's AI platform • Integrating 100+ TB of BATL well/land/production data • Riggs AI expected to reach BATL production engineers around day 90 • Targeting lower operating costs and better capital efficiency • Investment funded from balance-sheet cash • And the wild card: BATL says it's exploring a large-scale data center on company-owned West Texas acreage, leveraging existing power, water and natural-gas infrastructure. That's happening while the oil backdrop has gotten much more interesting. I'm not saying “AI = moon” or that a data center is definitely getting built. It's exploratory, the investment terms weren't disclosed, and BATL is still a tiny oil company that can be painfully slow. But now you've got a small U.S. oil producer with an improving oil-price backdrop plus a fresh company-specific AI/data-center catalyst released after hours. I'm in 100 shares @ $1.32. Small position. I'm watching for volume and whether the market actually confirms the thesis rather than adding just because I like the story. Curious what everyone else thinks. Lol...BATL is frustrating....been in and out alot since April...really a low risk play though based on entry and how slow it moves.
Batl and other oil stocks I think I may jump back into BATL tomorrow. Entry is solid, oil is up, war is a mess. At some point, the real situation with oil has to mean something with oil stocks. Can't be supressed forever.

30seconds of research should have kept you away from BATL. I've been watching this one for months, scalped here and there along the way but its been pretty much rangebound. The EPS is down $3 YoY, revenue is down almost 20% YoY and their gross profit is down 18%...all of this on top of the dilution. Makes it tough to buy for me.
