I can't speak to BLLN as I don't follow it, but it is different as it focuses more on prenatal screening. But worth a look for sure. I need to learn more about it. I have followed GRAL for a couple years as it spun off of ILMN. The reason I really liked it was I think it is a test that will be heavily sought after as a screener to help people. It isn't perfect, but it can detect things that you otherwise don't have a real screen for...bladder/pancreatic, stomach...etc. Things you usually find when already showing symptoms. So, gives the population a chance to find and fix prior to it becoming terminal. Now the test isn't perfect, but exceptionally low false positives. So, if it is detecting something...then worth it to do follow on screens...etc. So, think good for the population. Investment wise, it is a game of patience, but it is setting up nicely as things fall into place with FDA approval, law coming into effect and then medicare coverage. I just see a huge recurring TAM for their business. Coupled that with $800mm it has in its coffers....it really won't need to do another raise. So, a lot of things to like and I think will truly be one of my more profitable investments as we fast forward to 2030. But, agree with you...small company and people aren't talking about it...but they'll start to....
Do you like GRAL more than BLLN? Seems related but a bit different and I don't hear anyone talking about either so I'm curious
I'm green on every WSB flutter I've taken. PL, BLLN, ASML, hell even the stonk whose name must not be spoken
Cool analysis, but you have a lot of falsities in this post. BLLN is not the only company that can assess fetal risk in their prenatal product. NTRA and Myriad have both entered that space and have improved upon what they initially came out with. NTRA will absolutely wipe this company with their MRD products. BLLN is far too late to the game and they don't have the capital to reinvest into R&D needed to expand their MRD offering. Thus they will enjoy a few years of success only to be squeezed out of the giga cancer market by companies like Natera, Tempus, & Abbott. Terrible advice for someone that clearly misunderstands the diagnostics market.
PSNL has the test that is being used, plus MRK owns a % of that company. https://investors.personalis.com/news-releases/news-release-details/personalis-and-moderna-sign-new-agreement-leverage-next PSNL is already in talks to be bought by TEM, although perhaps may not happen given disappointment around the offer that was taken. GRAL has had a lot of controversy around it. There's also no shortage of other options - FRNM, NTRA, PSNL, GH, BLLN, etc.
Thoughts on $BLLN? It tanked 30%+ yesterday
BLLN living up to its name, turning billionaires into average joes
Puts on NTRA, earnings PM. Competitor BLLN earnings yesterday: the increase in test volume was driven by higher volumes of our prenatal tests primarily as a result of our expansion of our sales force for our prenatal products. So they must be grabbing MS from Natera. BLLN also dropping significantly due to poor guidance.
