Well regarded DD. It's actually spelled HoloLens but who cares, it's dead project. Microsoft laid off the entire team back in January. I've been invested in $EMAN for years and followed the microdisplays for quite some time. Google Glass used HIMX display (LCoS), that whole Glass project is now dead. HIMX had great spike initially and then it faded, it survived by producing driver circuits, though. Apple is going to use Sony displays (uOLED) , Samsung bought out EMAN (uOLED) . Meta and Microsoft dropped VR/AR projects. MVIS used to promote their micro projectors, which is now also dead as I understand. So only LIDAR is there left. And the hope of buyout , just because EMAN was just bought out by Samsung. Good luck.

Personally, I’m dollar cost averaging every month into SKYY(ETF), $U, $EMAN, $KOPN, $META, $QCOM, and $AMD right now. Some of them are smaller cap plays but are set to explode in my opinion, and are all discounted at the moment. Very few people are bullish on AR and VR in the market, and they’re going to miss out on the next iPhone moment. If you want to get a glimpse of the future watch Meta’s connect conference coming up on October 11, the Quest Pro is going to blow people’s minds (even though we’re still a few years away from mass adoption).
Pitney Bowes $PBI just offered a dividend. Diebold Nixdorf $DBD talking about fingerprint ATM machines that can tell the difference between severed fingers and real ones. Culp's recent earnings call could put their stock into $2-4 range again - $CULP. DHI Group Inc $DHX earnings looking good. Emagin $EMAN looks ready to go back to $1. ReWalk $RWLK and Ekso Bionics $EKSO both recently FDA approved and have their devices work alongside each other in clinic settings.

There are a lot of very small AR/VR companies that can be invested in. Many of them are way down off their highs. They rose super fast, and now most of them have plummeted. KOPN, MVIS, VUZI, EMAN are 4 very specific VR/AR plays. All are high risk. I honestly don't love any of them. MVIS is also a meme stock, lol. They do lidar, and have tech that is in HoloLens. (Microsoft's AR headset) Kopin Corporation made the pancake lenses that are in the Panasonic Slim VR glasses. Do a Google search of it, and you'll see those slim Panasonics. I think the reason KOPN went so high, so fast, is because people were thinking Apple might acquire them.
I am also long VUZI, KOPN, and EMAN. Was hoping for a take off post pandemic. Well, didn't happen. But I am still optimistic on the sector overall. These are long term plays, as businesses evolve, and incorporate their technologies. The primary consumer for these compaies are businesses, and government. Not gamers.
Entire sector had a similar dip. Vuzi, mvis, kopn. I believe the sector is still a few years from exploding since we are still waiting for mass consumer adoption in AR/VR. This is normal small market cap volatility in a volatile market. I'm long EMAN and long in the sector, I think their tech is their competitive advantage. I've bought and sold shares for profit for over a year, but maintain a position for long term. For short term I think there is strong support in the low $2s (tested a few times), and any big news could easily push it back to $5 range or higher. A big licensing deal with a big tech name (Microsoft, Apple, Facebook) could send this thing well into the double digits.

Think future stocks your EMAN and ATOS. Play safe with a low range etf MCEF or a PSMC with dividends reinvested. There’s a ton of safe stuff airlines are still undervalued in my opinion. Probably the best advice is invest in what you live and believe in long term.

Yup! That has bled through the entire chip and semiconductor industry. I have EMAN and it did really well, then collapsed recently. What surprised me the most was that Ford took a big hit (I have a couple shares as a relatively safe Boomer stock at an affordable price). After some digging, the chip shortage hit BlackBerry, which supplies the electronics for many Ford models. It's all connected!
Now I’m looking through my trade history and getting even more depressed. I sold EMAN, RIG, NOVN, WATT, and IZEA all for a loss and I would’ve made so much money if I didn’t panic over the dips. I also bought CLSK at $2.90 then sold at $2.70 and now it’s at $23.37 so clearly I make fantastic decisions!

So, random question. I bought VUZI a couple months ago, and am obviously thrilled that Cathie and co. have picked up like a million shares in a week. But this weekend I got one of those marketing emails from Motley Fool (very annoying, as I'm already a subscriber), but they're hinting about having found a company that sounds exactly like VUZI. This is what the copy says: ​ * Sub-$1 billion market cap. That’s right, it’s **less than 1/100th the size** of the smallest stock we just discussed. And that’s *after* an 800% runup since last January! (Hey, don’t beat yourself up about missing the first 800% - I think there’s plenty more upside potential to be had.) * **Huge business growth opportunity.** This stock produces augmented reality smart glasses. Estimates believe this market could grow to a projected $18.4 billion by 2026…and this company has only earned $9.3 million in revenue over the past 12 months.
