Those fat cats are betting big on this tanking even further. But what if we rallied the troops and put some pressure on? A proper short squeeze could send this soaring and burn those shorts. Now, I'm no financial guru, but when there's blood in the water, there's opportunity. So, are we going to watch $FAZE fade into obscurity or give it some CPR and breathe life back into it? Vtubing agencies are a weird hybrid of many different entertainment spaces, streaming, anime, idol industry, gaming and so on. As for the reason why these two stand out when compared to other similar organisations like OTK, FAZE, OTV is that they were able to create a culture that was exclusive to them, which included every streamer in the company. What a lot of the fanbase stays for is the environment they have created which i think other companies failed to do. I think it is because they are vtubers they were able to pull this off, existing between an actual human and a fictional character allows them to create a fantasy that is attractive to a huge market. Also helps that they stay far away from any political or riske topics. Their success though is very hard to dublicate because the circumstances that lead to nijisanji/hololives success were very unique, nijisanji was one of the first vtubing agencies in japan that was able to create a winning formula and hololive dominated a strong niche and successfuly translated it into vtubing. There are many vtubing agencies right now most of them won't work out even with millions in funding because the medium is still rather small and taking market share from existing agencies is nearly impossible.
I want to agree, but from someone in and out following esports since the days of CAL (so like 2004?) I don't think so. I think it's just incredible, mind-numbing incompetence. For example, CEO of FAZE? Lee Trink. An attorney turned record label exec. What does he know? How to promote a label. This is exactly what a label would do. Sign a big pile of talent, get "cool" people talking about the brand and hope some of the talent makes it big before you run out of money to keep the lights on. It works in an industry where people buy things (songs, headphones). It doesn't work in an industry where the average fan would sooner cut out a testicle than pay to watch the team or buy more than 1 item in their lifetime. Now, sustainable is a dumbass wored in an industry that's being pumped along until one day (some of) it becomes the next NFL/NHL or something, but you've gotta keep the warchest to get your through winters. First it was skins, then shady betting, then crypto, now we're in a winter again. I think FAZE's issue was that they (dumbly) bought into the hype that everyone else was doing it wrong and you could be a success "today" if only you applied lesonns from another industry.

Faze like management agencies get a cut of talent. Talent is what made them strong in the first place. It never was going to go well as the owners were Young adults whose main was playing video games. Investors came in to pay the stock of people like snoop dogg and all the other ridiculous hype acquisitions they made. Lots and lots of shady shit behind the scenes. Dilution with high priced low effort talent. Many new acquisitions didn't put any effort. Old guys getting caught up in their lifestyle with infrequent content creation. Not to mention many of the guys are individual brands with better loyalty than just FAZE. Rug doesn't need faze as much as faze needs rug. Jev had his loyalty that never followed the main brand. Along with many other guys. Combine that with controversy, it was never going to work. Faze was always hype, the guys normal, got in through video game challenges. They evolved but they were out of their depth. Other organizations although not as known had more sustainable methods of increasing value. Acquiring talent with loyalty not faze Snoop, Ronaldo etc.

Periodically, I like to sift through every tweet on my favorite tickers. I have been using Nitter and the results are pretty comprehensive because they are not geofenced. Gives you a good sense of the global dialog. Also reveals bots posts’ concentrations. It can be useful to see how a given PR gets picked up and where it’s disseminated. Obviously great for SEA and PJ traders looking for a 4-7 am premarket pop. I think my most successful deployment of it was in the FAZE clan run up and I had a good gauge of how that would briefly spike. There’s no heat map for Bitdeer in USA, but the SEA region tells me to hold and wait. If I were just looking at US sentiment, I would think that it was dead in the water. CZ tweeted out the Bhutan mining news but stripped off the Bitdeer connotations. So that’s interesting because CZ is only going to have a handful of tweets out there. Especially when he has to shut down his operations due to miners who are charging fees that his system can’t handle. I can’t wait for the halvening. 😁🍿

What float we thinking is sexy for BREZ? Sitting at approx 1.7m rn prior to redeems (which wasn't sexy enough). FAZE the despac did pretty well with 1.3m (10 - 25 w/ multiple squeezes for months) but then we had some dumbass furus try to pump THCH (also 1.3m) so sentiment might be a bit shot for low floats with options even though low floaters are hot af atm. Thots?
I put a little into FAZE anticipating that people will try and save the brand. Only as much as I'm willing to lose though since its probably going to go bankrupt.
Because these few “teens” have an army of even more teens behind them. Ones who don’t do thinking for themselves. So when they said go buy x coin, they all bought x coin. Leading to a bunch of others not even related (but still mindless) to invest even more money. Then the lads at the top who orchestrated the whole thing pull out and once they do SHTF for everyone else as they only bought because FAZE did, so now that they’ve sold they must sell too.
I figured my sarcasm was bleeding through but apparently not. The fact is that the stock was marketed not on FAZE as a company but on the videogame and esports industry growth numbers of 2020 and 2021. I've been following this thing since it was first announced. Whether people on r/investing who have no clue about this stock until today want to accept that doesn't matter because doing so is not accepting the reality of how this stock was marketed to investors.
In 2020 and 2021 videogame industry was making revenue more than double the entire north American sports industry was making. FAZE came out while these were the numbers people were running with, so it seems a *bit* more understandable given the wishful thinking of the market at the time. We had fallen from ATH but we're still in "inflation is transient" mode

Disregards my example regarding spac-despac transitions. Tbf, that involves a ticker change as well, but floats are literally never updated. Same case when a spac has a extension vote allowing redemptions. Shares are almost always removed and at times (ex THCA), something like 80% has been removed. Yet literally nothing updates the float for over a month. Usually not until a 10-q etc. is filed. There has been one time I've seen bloomberg update the float on a de-spac with FAZE, but that was 2 months after the float was reduced. I don't know why they suddenly did, but it wasn't 10 days after the 90%+ float reduction. Literally 2 months.
Have you ever traded a despac? There’s been times where the float decreases over 95% on combination but literally no company updates the float for months until a quarterly report comes out. Initially people only become aware of the new floats in those situations after doing the math on redemptions or NAV (see IRNT, SST, FAZE etc). In the case of some of these, there’s been investors that reach out specifically to ortex to walk them through the calculations to derive the new floats. Again, this is over a month plus when the floats decreased massively. I understand there’s a nasdaq rule to update but then I wonder, 1- is the exchange required to update the public and 2 - what kind of issue would arise if you were late to update. It would probably be worth it to email Nasdaq for clarity.
You can try some TA moving averages 5-10-20-100 red green gold. And honestly just look at any stock and you see a pattern form. RSI I like at 10. 1-4 hour time frames. I use beta, theta as indicators and vwap. But that’s trading it’s bad on this sub but that’s what I would recommend. Picked up FAZE looking for 10% 20% 30% exit and into Bitcoin push with some miners/ GLXY as Bitcoin pushes down more shit on sale. Finish month off with some weed stocks because who doesn’t like a good vape pen.

Think you’re on to something with FAZE. Forgetting the charts doing DD the trade volume alone is over 1M compared to 9K with ENTEF. FAZE is now doing a collaboration with Bathing Ape and doesn’t look bad. It gets them out there and if marketed right could be a gold mine. They also have deals with Porche and other major companies, and 3 days ago major layoffs. My gut says a buy out may be in the works. But who knows. Now at the low which must have caught your attn and the high only last August of $24.69. ENTEF..is has a HIGH of .93 and doesn’t have a lot of open potential. Similar business but FAZE is one I would actually start investing in today believing just from facts this may lead to some serious cash!
FAZE is interesting. I honestly thought it was going to fall into the "meme" stock category, clearly it has not lol. might be worth picking up some shares here, but like you said I think ENTEF has the most potential for upside.
