Country risk is real. few years ago, as an energy bull, I opened a small position in Goviex Uranium (GVXXF). They had a promising uranium mine in Niger, Africa. Soon after my entry there was a coup in Niger and the new government nationalized the mine and revoked permits and Goviex-s ownership. Guess what? The ticker does not exist any more Since they got swooped up after share price tanked. exactly same scenario will not happen to UUUU since they are way bigger and more diversified but just fyi, risks are real.
CCJ, UUUU, GVXXF Big company, medium, small. So risk is inverse, small, medium, big. I own all 3. There are lots of others, a rising tide lifts all boats. But I felt that GVXXF was the best play more recently after the runup in the last year.
Check out the Reddit for uranium squeeze. Personally I am in CCJ, UUUU and GVXXF. Low risk/medium risk/high risk. Expected performance is about 2-5 years depending on lots of things. I am guessing it'll double in that time, easily could do waaaayyyy more. Early enough in the run I am still investing into it. But be tolerant of +/-10% swings daily, it's very volatile.
BNNLF, GLATF and PALAF Solid wins without a doubt; first two likely to be bought out. Speculation plays: PTUUF, BKCUF, UEXCF and GVXXF. Probably load up on some ANLDF and SYHBF but that’s about it.
