Cannot speak to palladium, that genuinely deserves its own post. On titanium though I would push back slightly on the framing. The costly part is not extraction, Australia and the US have plenty of accessible ore. The bottleneck is what happens after mining: the Kroll process wastes 80 to 90% of material through machining, and requires enormous energy input. That is why titanium costs what it does despite abundant reserves. The entire IperionX thesis is that HAMR and HSPT replace that process with something faster, cheaper, and domestically controlled.
