It's because IVCTF just declared a major oil discovery in Africa. Not really, but cool to finally be part of a winner.
IVCTF, they announced hitting total depth at their Mukuyu 2 well in Zimbabwe on October 30th, a lot of prospective zones and good looking info coming out as they clean the hole and take preliminary tests. Much will come down to the retrieval of a sample and subsequent announcement of discovery, and one way or another there should be an announcement within a week. A failure to bring a sample to the surface will have a negative effect on the price. Depending on risk tolerance this could move big by next week.
The new announcement that just came out is beyond bullish. IVCTF reached the total, yes, WE, and after all the sample taking, IVCTF has the option to drill even deeper. Beyond bullish.
IVCTF last fall was at .06 then up to .28 in december 2022. Then I fomo'd like a regard and bought back in at .27. 3 days later it collapsed after christmas. So no I never did. Looks like itll do the same thing again soon. I hope I'll be smart enough to take my profit and leave this time.

I have ridden these waves a few times, if possible cover your cost basis especially if you are up over 500%. Its very rare to cash out at that level and long term you will always remember it as a win. 10/15 of my penny plays were up 500% plus Feb. 2021. Now you can get them for what I paid for.... this is still a spec play. They are not producing revenue atm. I would also keep some shares as well because this could get crazy but every play similar has a very near dusk. IVCTF on a similar tear on similar news. Teaching us to love oil.

I have held this stock for over a year. I was down double digits for most of this time. Even after it jumped over 100% last week I was still down. Since yesterday, however, I'm up double digits so I'm happy. IVCTF has been heavily shorted but probably less so since it jumped up. Yes, there is evidence of a working petroleum system but no traps have been found yet. I also am holding RECAF which has tanked. It is also heavily shorted. My intuition says to take the profits but my gut won't let me. I will hang on to both just in case commercially viable hydrocarbons are found. That will result in pandemonium. I want to be there when that happens. I've never been to the moon.

What makes you say $IVCTF Is a better opportunity than $RECAF?
I see this similar play to recon Africa which hit $10. But $IVCTF is a much better opportunity. I think if they start to hit their targets a realistic price is around 1015 per share. But if they actually start distributing and producing natural gas across Africa then this could be a stable oil and gas company with a high target price of Vino maybe 30 $40 plus but obviously I’m in this for the initial run up and pop at 10 bucks

I’m buying up $IVCTF drilling start this month. SG 4571 covers 250,000 acres located in the most prospective portion of the Cabora Bassa Basin in northern Zimbabwe. The licence is currently in the second exploration period which runs to June 2024. Invictus entered into an agreement with the Zimbabwe Government in March 2022 to increase the licence area by sevenfold to 1.77 million acres and is awaiting customary gazettal*. Previously explored by Mobil Oil, the project contains the largest undrilled structure in onshore Africa. The Muzarabani anticline feature has over 200km2 under closure and up to 1,500m vertical relief at favourable depths for conventional oil and gas. The Mukuyu (Muzarabani) conventional gas-condensate prospect, the largest undrilled prospect onshore Africa with an independently estimated 20 Tcf + 845 million barrels (gross mean unrisked basis#) of conventional gas-condensate in a stacked target. The Company has completed a comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment which was one of the largest surveys ever undertaken in the country. The regulator, the Environmental Management Agency, has approved the Environmental Management Plan for seismic and drilling. Invictus is executing a high-impact work program and completed the acquisition of 840 km of high resolution infill 2D seismic data ahead of a basin opening drilling campaign commencing in August 2022.

IVCTF is an absolute monster - if anyone is new to IVZ it has a similar dynamic to ReconAfrica. Refer to the latest quarterly statement for a quick snapshot - ultimately in four weeks it will start drilling so get in early before the mania starts

Drilling in early August for oil and has everything in place. The size of the resource is an absolute monster and will make it the biggest onshore drilling target in decades. Market cap is currently $100 million USD, a strike will make it easily 1-2 billion. Seismic studies are backed by independent scrutiny and it's quite extensive in the stacked targets. It has quite an interesting story as it was first surveyed by Mobil decades earlier but was not drilled as it showed being more gas rich than oil and the government wasn’t exactly supportive - fast forward to today and the climate is perfect - gas is expensive, the government is highly supportive and the recent modern seismic survey has shown the targets to be vastly reduced in risk. This is THE stock to watch in 2022 - as it has insane potential
IVZ are drilling for a prospective resource of 20 Tcf + 845 million barrels of condensate (mean) or 45 TCF of gas +1,945 million barrels of condensate (high) This is the first well of their two well drillng campaign, the numbers for the resource of the second well have not been released as yet. They also have a number of ancillary targets on top of the first two wells so the numbers in the license area are truly staggering. They hold a massive prospect in Zimbabwe that was previously explored by Mobil in the 1990s, who concluded that the area was gas prone. It was not drilled by Mobil due to the lack of the gas market at the time and has remained undrilled due to the issues with the Zimbabwean government under Mugabe. RECAF - I threw down about $3k @ $1.80/share, it popped to $3-4 range on its own, then they announced an oil discovery and I tripled-down, buying all the way up to $11/share before it came crashing back down to $5/share from a short seller’s attack campaign. I will be holding out for a price target of $150-$250/share which should take another 2-4 years. I’m hoping to repeat this success with IVCTF and KVGOF (which are still true penny stocks at the moment)

The preliminary seismic images are quite good looking. We have low noise levels and pretty good contrasts. There is potential indicators of a hydrocarbon system including gas chimmeys on this provided preliminary data. Flat spots found are a strong indicator of the presence of Hydrocarbons. They are a extremely encouraging seismic data points and this will drive a lot of attention to this stock in the coming days. I am also very interested in the rounded anticline structure identified announced in the report. The size of this anticline is mind blowing. Anticlines form a structural trap that can capture pockets of hydrocarbons in the bend of the arch. Impermeable rock beds, often referred to as seals or cap rock, trap hydrocarbons in the anticline peak. This causes oil and natural gas to build up in the pore spaces of the reservoir rock at the core of the arch. Three possible zones of vertical amplitude anomalies may be associated with gas chimneys. Add the potential flat spot hydrocarbon indicators they are highlighting in the announcement and i can see why the IVCTF team is getting excited. The last announcement indicated a potential material increase in our resource. In my humble opinion any materially would be +2TCF or more. Our resource would be +10 TCF. This is HUGE!!! IVCTF will be one too watch in the coming months.
