This reminds me of a recent post on the MLFB stock subreddit. Most of us knew this was a scam and they would never play a game, but of course would always get downvoted by the pumpers. Stock is now dead. Someone posted last week that he lost over $100K on it, then others commented about how much they lost. Hard to feel sorry for them when we kept saying it was a scam.

Frank Murtha is a retiree based on his linked in - is at least 77 years old (first job was as an AUSA in 1970, which with legal school at 3 years plus degree for 3 years, plus 1970 to 2022. an SEC filing notes that Murtha was a Disbarred attorney. the same filing notes that MLFB terminated Murtha from his role as Senior exec VP - clearly sometime later taking a role as Director and CEP from Michael Queen in 2020. at 77, He doesn't have the energy level required to start a grass roots football company or any company for that matter with any real intent to turn a profit for investors. IMO: This was purely a cash grab, I'm surprised he hasn't been sued - its pretty obvious argument that he has no intention to actually fulfill his duties to create a viable business, but with his prior 3 sports consultant related jobs and his current part time gig teaching a course at Northwestern University, he probably barely has 10 cents to rub together, so not worth suing. A quick search it appears he owns a meager (humble) real estate residence - therefore not worth pursuing legally, not to mention though while disbarred - he wouldnt/shouldnt be stupid enough to provide sufficient reason to file a claim thats actionable.

I bought 500k shares of $MLFB, may not be a short term trade though unless they just go away. CONS: they just ended 2022 training camp cause they couldn't pay anyone, including hotels the players were staying in. Very possible they just disappear so certainly risky. PROS: not gonna sugar coat it, it's a gamble. That said it's reviewing a 2.5M stock equity term sheet from an "institution" and currently has a 1.39M market cap. If that goes through it could almost double just off that. They said they want a full 2023 season, and said "they expect" additional investments from previous investors. If a season actually happens next year it has the potential to really skyrocket. TLDR: MLFB either going to the ground or moon, bit of a gamble that I'm fine riding either way.

This one stings, especially since there was certainty of a season happening. The only question to me was the product and how it would be received and broadcasting, which if you dont believe a non nfl league can be successful then your opinion was always that this would fail. I bought into it, they were following through with their plan. A lot money and reputable people went into this. I do believe that MLFB is done for good now, but I don't believe that this was ever a cash grab. I don't think anybody here should have any regrets for believing that this would come to fruition, and I despise all of the "told you so" comments here. Like many of the stocks mentioned here, nothing is certain no matter how certain it seems and you should effectivelt evaluate your risk. I lost a good share here, I'll be fine. Rather than just "told you so", can we turn the discourse around here; what was it that made you certain that this would fail. They just stopped short of the finish line many penny's don't make it this far.

Sorry, but the "rebound" was just a large order during the day. I have to laugh at the echo chamber that is the MLFB subreddit. Players were locked out of their hotels, told to leave immediately, and had no funds to get home. They were told that "your contracts don't mean anything if there is no league." Players were paid a total of $50 and told they would be paid after the first game. Very little social media presence, bad/incomplete website, very little marketing. MLFB investor packet said they expected the sp to be .07 end of May, .20 end of June. It's been around 2 cents for awhile now, until today. When asked for comment, MLFB had "no comment at this time." The CEO has not issued anything regarding nonpayment to the hotel, or anything regarding any future in 2022, he has disappeared. Yet, after all of this, you STILL have a few people on the subreddit who refuse to admit reality. They "still believe in what Frank has done so far," and are buying more shares, even though all indications are that this is tanking even more on Friday. Over the past few months, the mods have banned a lot of the users that were critical of the stock and league, even when it was fully warranted. I'm sure those people still pumping this turd will be "excited for a season in 2023."

Your stark falsehoods include; MLFB doesn't have a system in place - Again, its been published since 2015 TLS had a league - TSL didn't have a league (besides the name) it had a camp that charged its players to play NFL supported TSL?lol If you call poaching the only good TSL had as support NFL and Frank Murtha have done business for more than 20 years and continue to work with MLFB. As of this spring are still having meetings with them on partnerships. MLFB has a clause in their contract that allows players to go to the NFL without restriction. MLFB is a developmental league, not the XFL and not the USFL. It is designed to give player with potential to have one more shot of making it to the NFL. Currently has 6 previously NFL players signed with the hopes of making it back. Has pulled players from the XFL and USFL. Thank you for pointing out the previous CEO and his direct staff are no longer with MLFB and haven't been for years. Exactly why this is a league on the field right now as you read this. 7 times the charm? I'm going to type this as slow as possible... XFL, USFL and TSL have all failed, two of them completely bankrupt. And you are calling them your pony. MLFB with everything they have been through, have not failed, have not gone bankrupt and have fulfilled their promises to investors finally making it to the field. We currently have our demo season RIGHT NOW. That is charming isn't it...

The problem isn't the market, the problem is MLFB's horrible marketing. No one knows about the league. They disappeared for three weeks from social media right before training camp. They have past history of failing to come through with seasons. Sure, they might play this year, but for weeks they never even announced that "tickets are currently on sale." Website isn't even done fully. They had all this time to get everything together for 2022, and still, no one knows about it.

Manziel didn’t play in TSL, he fizzled out. MLFB has multiple NFL players and guys passing up on XFL contracts to play for them, because of the conditions of hire. Previously bought equipment was one of the best financial decisions any of these leagues ever made. Most importantly, TSL was not a league, it was a camp. Players had to pay to play. They decided to try and switch it to a MLFB infrastructure (after the fact), which was a terrible idea. About the same time they decided to resurrect the USFL and merge the two operations together, the only reason USFL was able to get as far as fast. Make no mistake, they are trying to use the MLFB formula. They might temporarily succeed, but their expenses are more… they don’t have stock and they already failed BIG once, MLFB has not. I’m not saying MLFB hasn’t had their share of bad breaks, but they have not failed and others are trying to use a formula they created years ago. And they have stock😉to invest in.

I think you have a very valid point. Running lien is going to be mandatory when/if consolidation happens. The sport itself can carry multiple seasons. The ones that have always struggled and will have the hardest time consolidating, will be the big budget leagues. MLFB is as lien as they come. Has put forth a quality info structure that others are trying to adapt to but after the fact. Reorganization is not a good look late in the game. What I like the most about $MLFB; MLFB has three products, football, merchandise and stock. That is huge for long term success. If possible, it would take other leagues a lot of time, energy and money to offer what MLFB has to offer right now. Some of the other leagues are already pushing the budget. One is already way over budget and behind schedule.

Are you seriously comparing Sunday Ticket to MLFB? I know how NDAs work dude, it’s not that complicated. My background is in advertising and marketing, including working with professional level teams during Championship years. A deal launching a new league on a legit streaming service would be in the can and being promoted at this point, there’s a decent amount of lead time not only for production but actually to promote the fucking thing in-market.

This isn’t the 60s and MLFB is not the Beatles of professional sports. There is a ton of debt, bad track record, dilution, poor planning, goalposts changing constantly, an ever-increasing competition for the entertainment dollar. The bull market is over and unfortunately, the USFL beat you to it. Their success this year completely nailed the MLFB coffin shut. We can reconvene in August to discuss more.

Im merely saying that it is a weird way you tried to qualify the company's potential ranking. This whole post reeks of pumping. You have the same 3 people all over every comment and each one is instantly upvoted. Not only that but its mentioned elsewhere in this thread that XFL is a major competitor for them. If that is the case then we can assume they are fighting over the same market share. XFL filed for bankruptcy in 2020, indicating that there isnt enough revenue in the market for them to survive. If that is the case, it is likely the same future for MLFB.

The issue with these leagues is AAF/ XFL etc go way too big too fast and spend way too much cash. MLFB aims to be a fiscally responsible football league that aims to last for the long haul. They don't wanna blow through a budget halfway through a season and go belly up.

Broadcasting partner should be revealed soon which will help MLFB reach a new audience. Frank Murtha CEO said they will have a partner to broadcast games for this year. Also Is a very conservative person with estimates, and stated in an interview recently there is potential for 700 million dollars of revenue per year starting year 5 or so.

Their whole point is that they are not competing with the NFL. It’s more of a developmental league whereas XFL (a competitor) is trying to take on the NFL which is a ridiculous task if you ask me. MLFB is the first spring league to approach with a non adversarial approach and focus on a reduced budget. USFL and XFL just like many before them throw insane money around and it never lasts. I think MlFB has a real shot

MLFB announced today that their Training Camp starts in a few weeks (July 14th) with first game on August 9th. Many players have signed contracts with MLFB; and coaching staffs, stadiums, and full schedule have now been announced. MLFB is the only publicly-traded major sports league. And football continues to grow in popularity. The average REGULAR season NFL game gets more viewers than baseball WORLD SERIES games and NBA FINALS games. And there are plenty of talented players available. Fewer than 2% of college football players get drafted by the NFL. College also doesn't prepare every player for the NFL. Hall of Famer and Superbowl champion Kurt Warner was undrafted by the NFL. Some players definitely have benefitted from playing football in an alt-league.

Today (Sunday), MLFB's first QB (Connor Kaegi) was announced, and he will be leading Coach Conley's Ohio Force in Canton, OH (at Hall of Fame Stadium). Kaegi has previously played in TSL (the Spring League). Coach Shea will be leading the Virginia Armada (Virginia Beach, VA). More news is expected tomorrow (Monday).

Head Coach Jerry Glanville yesterday reported that he has signed 30 of the 70 players for his team so far. More MLFB news is coming on Monday (schedules, cities, ticketing info, team stores, etc). MLFB is the only pubicly-traded major sports league, and that's interesting to me.
