Should've held NBIZ longer. I'd have made $200 instead of $100

Is there a NBIZ subreddit? Asking for me…#TrustingBurry

Just bought $2000 worth of NBIZ in my HSA. Hopefully I can pay for my brain cancer surgery (I’m totally fine) and then pay for my child who has dengue fever and will pass away without specialized heart surgery(I’m single with no children) Please 🙏🧎‍♂️

Well, it would be similar to selling covered calls. So the difference between doing that as a hedge, is it depends on the realized volatility vs implied volatility. Options are priced by IV, what the market expects volatility to be. Realized volatility is what exact intra-day changes percentage moves happen. LETFs depend on realized volatility If realized volatility is much higher than IV, then shorting NBIG will make you more compared to selling covered calls. For example let's say tomorrow NBIS is down -40%, this is realized volatility, your CC would be close to worthless, and NBIG will be down by -40%. However since CCs were cheaper due to lower IV, you would be better off shorting NBIG. If the next day NBIZ completely recovers, the CCs will recover, but NBIG wouldn't, making shorting NBIG a much better result. However if for example NBIS somehow moves very little for a month, or goes up massively, then NBIG would actually not lose much at all and outperform even, making your shorts lose money. This is worse than CCs because you would at least receive some premium. So there isn't a "right" answer. It depends on what you want to do, what you think will happen, nobody can predict exactly what percentage changes will happen, but you can mitigate or increase risk this way to increase returns or manage risks.

Both NBIZ and NBIG are underperformers compared to being long NBIS in the long term. NBIZ will be a zero, NBIG might be a zero, will take a much longer time to do so, of course depending on where NBIS goes. [This is because inverse ETFs have much higher volatility decay than long leveraged ETFs, due to "Inversion decay," a term I coined in my post](https://www.reddit.com/r/options/comments/19005q4/put_leaps_on_soxs/). NBIG can eventually also be a zero, because single stocks are extremely volatile. However over a short term, buying NBIG can get you much higher returns. Shorting the inverse is the "safer" play depending on your view of volatility.

Explain it to me like I'm 10 - why would you short NBIZ rather than just buy NBIG?

lol bro, I'm short like 700 shares of NBIZ both directly and through options. I'm literally taking free money away from people who don't understand inverse LETFs. That it's underperforming NBIS over time means I need to short it more.

I mentioned it before, but I guess you don’t actually know. $NBIZ is designed to track the DAILY movement of $NBIS. It resets every day. You keep mentioning how it performs overtime, which is irrelevant.

Where is the retard that bought 5M NBIZ

Not really but the big ones have single stock inverse ETFs. CORD, NBIZ, IREZ, APLZ, etc.

Some people are saying leveraged ETFs are bad. LOL, the last couple of days I sold naked calls on leveraged single stock ETFs, BEZ (-2x BE), NBIZ (-2x NBIS), CBRZ (-2x CRBS), ORCZ (-2x ORCL). All are basically worthless now. Bring on more leveraged ETFs

People who trade NBIZ and don’t hold overnight might make money. When they get greedy, that’s when I make money. Sry you don’t understand.

Can’t tell if this is satire or if you don’t know what NBIZ does.

Love taking money from these noobs holding inverse ETFs. NBIZ dumping almost 60% to all time lows despite NBIS not anywhere near highs.

made $1000 in 10 minutes with NBIZ (2x NBIS short) going to hold on to it till tomorrow though
