Hi everyone, I am 25yM and currently heading into my second year of work. I am meeting with my financial advisor provided through my hospital to review and make changes to my 403b. My current investments are: Approx: 28% VFWSX 27% VIIIX 12% RERGX 9% DOXGX 8% VEMPX 6% DFCEX 3% NRGSX 2% PRRIX 1% HNACX What is your opinion on my portfolio given my age and wanting higher risk? It looks as if I’m in about 50/50 US vs international stocks. Thinking this should be closer to 80/20. What changes would you make? If you comment with initial thoughts, I can dm you a list of the options I have to choose from. It would be much appreciated . Thanks everyone!
Good afternoon all, I started investing in my company's 401k last July: * 40% - S&P 500 fund * 40% - Managed fund with international exposure * 20% - Small cap fund In January, I moved my small cap fund position to cash, and split my contributions to the other funds 50/50. My thought was that the S&P 500 would decline, and I could invest the cash position at a better price. Also, the performance of the small cap fund yanked donkey balls. Since it appears we're close to the peak Fed funds rate, would it be advisable to move the cash to a bond fund instead? My options are: * PRRIX - PIMCO Real Return Fund Institutional Class * PMSIX - Principal Core Plus Bond Fund Institutional Class I've been avoiding bonds on the advice of parents. 20-25 years until retirement. My thoughts are that bond funds should recover now that the Fed has stopped hiking rates (presumably), and I could see 5-10% return over the next year or so. Not sure if I'm not seeing something. Not really looking for a long term position in bonds, but wouldn't mind a safe and productive position while we sort out the whole recession/no-recession thing. Thoughts?
