All reverse splits eventually end up in the cellar. My beloved $STEV ran for over a decade but finally alas, ended in the cellar. By cellar I mean .0001 and then delist.

Thank you for being so positive on my comment :) skewness, kurtosis and fat tails are all factors that usually should make you reject the assumption of normal distributed returns. Fat tails for example expose you to big movements that are not captured by the normal distribution assumption. Meaning the average movement will be smaller than anticipated by the STEV, while big movements will happen more often than expected. Same with skewness. Skewness makes either upward or downward moves more likely. But in a normal distributed model, both directions are equally likely to happen. My main critic is that you are looking for stocks with signs that the normal distribution assumption should be rejected, while heavily relying on the normal distribution assumption. Even though you have a point that your big pool of historic data reflects basically every possible direction the underlying could move. Maybe you should look for stocks with returns that are normal distributed to a very high degree. With the QQ-Test or the shapiro-wilk-test you can examine the degree of normal distribution of your returns (shapiro-wilk is similar to a correlation test. 0 means returns are not normal distributed, while 1 means they are normal distributed)
