I put a post out yesterday about a stock I've been watching for almost a year. I of course (as always) should of stopped waiting and bought in as it's nearly tripled. The stock symbol is 'TWIN' and I and wondering if someone can chime in here. Do microcaps typically have a low volume on trades? Also, why do I see such a wide range between the Bid and Asking price sometimes (ie. right now on TD its showing Bid 7.03 and ask at 13.50 - I know there is no way someone would sell for nearly half the price it's currently trading at so why such a low bid price?) TL;DR - why am I seeing such a wide range between Bid and Ask on a stock I"m watching?
Anyone investing in TWIN? Excellent company with great financials, and leadership (from what I can tell). Long-time family owned business, very conservative with their money. And nearly straight for last year. Been lurking for months, just need to pull the trigger...famous last words. What I can't understand is why volume is so low on this stock. So really looking for someone to tell me why it (and some stocks) have such low trading volume?

Back in the days of low limits it was easy to lose less than you would pay in a bar tab. The old Aladdin 24 hour cafe had an off menu special on Friday and Saturdays from 11:00PM- 6:00 am. Yes. In December they announced hiring one of the best engineers in the world to develop an electric Powered Twin Vee. This past Saturday they launched twinveeelectric.com and showed the world that A: they built at least 3 boats and tested them. B: they already finished development and are taking orders which means they have worked out procurement and manufacturing logistics. and C: the specs are all available for the world to see. What they haven't done yet...probably because of the weekend, is release a press release on any of this. I just happen to follow every single detail I can with regard to twin vee. The engineer is Zanni...same guy that brought silent yachts propulsion system to market. The motor, the outdrive and the controller are all off the shelf. The battery system is modular and can be upgraded to provide additional range. IT IS PROPRIETARY TO TWIN VEE. All of this is known only because of that website launch on Saturday. I also can point to the 2018-19 fund raising whereby the investors got shares at .25 per share and The CEO stated that the intent was to uplist. Covid slowed that down...but not anymore.
