For my taxable brokerage acconts: VCRM - intermediate managed municipal bond funds JMST - short term municipal bond funds In my retirement accounts: BNDW - general worldwide bond funds DFIP- inflation protected tips PAAA - some higher yield and more risk It's probably overly complicated, but it works alright.
Okay, here's an objective difference: SGOV and VCRM have effective durations of 1 month and 7.5 years, respectively.
VCRM will have a lot more volatility ... it's not an ETF counterpart to a municipal money market fund.
