I disagree, I’m a former Apple technician and currently work in cybersecurity. Unless an android phone is secured by an enterprise MDM solution, they are easily targeted versus an iPhone considering that it’s sandboxed. Exploits for iPhones are sold for a much higher price for many reasons.

The are still around, they're just not making phones anymore. Blackberry Enterprise Server (their MDM for managing mobile devices including Apple and android phones) is still used by companies, quite rarely but still used by some. They also are in the IT security business I believe.

As others have already helped you I can only advice you to only use your personal phone for anything crypto related in the future. Companies can wipe corporate issued phones at any time, you do not have to be fired, be it a wrong configuration of a security software your company uses or a wrong click from your company's MDM admin, it can be wiped remotely at any time.

When phones where simply SMS and phone call devices your position is valid. Devices today however track your location, handle your finances, investments, private keys for 2FA as well as host a large number of apps and others integrated services. If your employer is requiring you to be contactable on your personal number, tie business services to this, install apps to make corporate issues smart devices to it you are giving up a lot of privacy. The IT Service Desk guy now has that hot girl from the engineering departments phone number, using the mobile MDM app used to deploy apps securely to a device he can now track her usage, location, battery life and last known location. He can also send a “kill signal” to the device that wipes all the corporate data remotely if she leaves the business. These “kill signals” have been known to brick the entire device on occasion (rare but not unheard of). Many moons ago having been part of a volunteer BYOD pilot in a former company we where fully briefed on the capabilities of the MDM apps they where trying out and how there was a greater than zero chance they could kill our devices if they used the wipe command. “Assume everything you do on your devices can be seen by the team” was the advice.

It’s actually easier when remote, with MDM you can simply wipe the device remotely and cut them off the VPN. If using a VDI solution it’s even easier than that.

You have no idea what you are going on about. My employer, a US corporation, supplies ALL 8,000+ employees with a phone as part of our compensation. This phone has a popular corporate VPN client on it, which is manufactured by a US company, and is extensively used in industry and by the US government. The endpoints for the VPN are in states that are supported by CDC. I cannot uninstall it because the phone is managed with a commercial MDM system which is managed by my employer. Short of getting a new phone, which I do not need for any other purpose, I'm SOL. Further, I live in one of the 49 states that CDC supports, and I have proven that to CDC as well as a dozen other crypto-related companies that I deal with on a regular basis. I can assure you I'm not trying anything shifty, illegal, unethical or otherwise sneaky or untoward. Doing so would be grounds for getting fired, most likely. My biggest complaint is that they've essentially ghosted me, and they will not allow me to rectify or even understand whatever situation has arisen. That's not very transparent of them. Would you want to do business with a company that can suspend your access for any apparent reason and not tell you why?

Work phone is a lot more secure than a personal phone, which I gave up more than 5 years ago. Employer has no issue with it. If I were to leave the company, phone would come with me, minus the MDM app.

Hey so there’s this guy on facebook who asks for your log in information to a bitcoin in order to buy bitcoin. He turns $0 into $5000 somehow. I want to know if this is a scam and if it’s illegal[photo ](https://docs.google.com/document/d/103t93s-FzGHc9J7Ez0Pd4FTTqSPcjdvP-l_MDM9K3uw/edit)

Me thinks Crypto.com is making a mistake. Regular Sponsorship doesn't convert anymore The new thing to get traction is announcing the cool stuff that you will do. People make fun of Google for their graveyard but all those moonshot projects propelled their marketcap a whole lot and got people excited at the thought that Google doesn't stop innovating . Same technique perfected by Musk, but he does on a personal basis. It is also the same technique which traditional automakers have been propelling since the 70s. Concept cars and one offs at car motorshows such as Geneva or Detroit are intended to show the innovation which the company can produce when money is no object: Here a couple : https://www.maxim.com/.image/t_share/MTQ5NDI1MDM4MTU4NzM1MDQ5/170819_5968-source.jpg https://www.maxim.com/.image/c_limit%2Ccs_srgb%2Cq_auto:good%2Cw_700/MTQ5NDI1MDMxMTc5NDEzMTkz/170819_6054-1200x800.webp https://i.insider.com/5e1774cbe0e1442d023ff0d6?width=700 https://cdn.carbuzz.com/gallery-images/original/392000/600/392671.jpg https://robbreport.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/medium-audi-pb-18-e-tron-concept-car-4512.jpg?w=1000

Quadriga... Founder was running a $215 million exchange (I was wrong about $350m, but still a huge amount of crypto) from a laptop, cleaned out all of the exchange's wallets, went on a vacation to India, and mysteriously died. Many people believe he's still alive, as he has a history of fraud, and an expert in the area of missing people said this situation ticks all of the red flags of a person who wanted to disappear. There's even a pretty fascinating podcast on the whole thing: https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR0cHM6Ly9mZWVkcy5tZWdhcGhvbmUuZm0vQ0FEOTIxNzU4MDM2MQ?sa=X&ved=0CAMQ4aUDahcKEwiIucmcu8fxAhUAAAAAHQAAAAAQAQ&hl=en
