Not commodities but about a month ago I watched Bridger Aerospace (BAER) in action fighting a wildfire in my area and decided I would invest $100 just based on what I saw IRL. Pretty volatile stock and their Q1 earnings look bad on paper but it wasn't fire season and they added 2 more scooper planes to their fleet over the winter. Super El Nino is not why I invested, but it does mean more wildfires in parts of the country so they might have a good year. Who knows.
Anyone been in on $BAER? I’m never sure what to think. I like the idea of the company, but I think they were, allegedly, mismanaged for a while. Wildfires are only going to increase, though

Just took a starter in BAER myself. Did some reading last night, good sign insiders are buying. Dug real deep and saw some employees saying they’re not allowed to buy stock at the moment because of upcoming announcements. Loaded up under $2 to be safe.

It's best to re-examine during premarket. I scalped BAER earlier because of volume concerns and it hasn't gone anywhere since.

My 60-minute-old BAER bags are feeling much lighter now. Averaging down was the right choice (an option I rarely take) but I am still wary of today's price action.
Me too. I entered earlier than I usually would (exuberance I guess) and have paid dearly for it. I even averaged down at 1.60 and still got slapped. Most of yesterday's gains have been lost thanks to BAER but I'm not seeing great downside now that the drop has hit.

Not a penny, but I’m watching BAER closely. They have Q2 earnings eod tomorrow. I think there is a very good chance could jump 20% on good news. Definitely not advice tho.

$BAER Bridger Aerospace. They are an aerial fire surveillance and suppression company. Basically they have planes with huge scooper buckets and recon which is used to fight fire. One of their biggest contracts is with the BOI. Big Beautiful contains an extra 100 million allocated to the BOI per year for fire suppression services. Now that doesn't sound like whole lot, but BAER's total revenue right now is 100 million. Being awarded even half of those contracts would be substantial. The former CEO who is also a senator put his shares into a blind trust right as the bill was passing the house. Probably to avoid conflict of interest concerns. This is the bew age of grift in America and I have no doubt in my mind a Senator who helped get this biill through will be rewarded (with the people's money). I see the stock going to around $4.50 to $5.50 (125-175% gain). Position: 1,000 shares
