I do not think I fully understand bond etfs

I took profit pre market at $3.45 today, got in at $2.9, should’ve held but I ported over to $BGSF for the dividend play

Mentions:#BGSF

BGSF, a $2 dividend coming up on September 23, should run big time this week considering it is currently below $8.

Mentions:#BGSF

I’m not getting greedy with ATCH. Taking profits here, investing in BGSF with their $2 dividend coming up on September 23, with it trading at less than $8 a share, that’s an over 25% profit on top of today’s big score from ATCH. Let’s go!

In big on this one, can't lose while getting a profit! BGSF should moon!

Mentions:#BGSF

Shoutout to whoever mentioned BGSF's 2$ dividend per share dropping next week. \~25% return through dividends alone

Mentions:#BGSF

BGSF is a massive play for me. They have $2 dividend per stock for anyone holding end of day on Sept 23. That's an over 25% profit in the bag if this stock does nothing but maintain its current price. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it.

Mentions:#BGSF

BGSF also completed the sale of its Professional Division for $99 million and the from the sale will be used to eliminate debt and invest in property management. That on top of a dividend that is an over 25% profit if this stock doesn’t move at all the next week has me in.

BGSF is offering a $2 dividend per share for anyone holding on September 23. It is trading at less than $8 per share. This thing is going to fly!

$UUU and $BGSF. Both have special dividend news out. UUU has a float under 2 million and is offering a $1 dividend per share. The current price is $5,95. BGSF has a float under 11 million and is offering a $2 dividend per share. The current price is $7.85 SOGP put out similar special dividend news and rose from the $3 zone to a high of over $36. I hope to see a similar move price action on UUU and BGSF over the next 2 weeks.

Bitf is the thing everyone is doing. Considering a slower burn CCL and BGSF could pop or drop. They've announced a special div which is 25% of the share price to be issued on the 30th. Ex div date is 23rd. It was sitting at x36 normal volume on close Friday. Will be interesting to watch

Is anyone looking at BGSF? I saw someone post about their special $2 dividend and it seems like it’s having a similar effect thus far. May be a decent play this month, but I’m not sure. I’d share my DD, but I’m a novice at best so I would hate to lead anyone astray on my shitty research

BGSF - $2 special dividend coming up and this could easily jump 100% from its current price of $7.90. Strong tute ownership of 30% should help hold the price on ex-divy day.

BGSF is paying a $2 dividend per stock for anyone holding on 9/23. It closed AH at $7.88. This looks like a gold mine!

Hopefully MODD and BGSF will do well today. Will probably sell today for PRPH news on Monday

After a good run of MU and RZLV I've decided to go for a BGSF play They have announced a $2 div per $7 stock end of this month.

Were you in early on BGSF? From what I can see, the $2 dividend is now priced in?

Might try a bit of BGSF on announcement of special div of $2 per share this month

Think SOGP vibes! they jumped on a $1 special dividend. BGSF is doing $2 per share (~22% at $9). Same playbook, bigger payout

Thank you very much for this post. Sorry, the charts show EUR, so what you say about the USD/EUR exchange makes sense. If you look at the chart of IE00BGSF1X88 in USD, you see a steady rise in price since the Fed rate hike, which confused me a bit at first. But since the ETF holds short term bonds and accumulates the higher rated bonds when the Fed raises rates, the price will also rise (unlike the 20+yr ETF), am I correct?

> When we look at the charts of two bond ETFs, one for short-term bonds (IE00BGSF1X88) and one for long-term bonds (IE00BD8PGZ49), we notice they move in opposite directions when interest rates change. The short term bonds ETF is not currency hedged, since 0-1 yr bonds barely change in value, the short term bond ETF in Euro will mostly follow USD/EUR exchange, which is very closely correlated to that short term bond ETF. Long term bond ETFs are more affected by changes in interest rates. This is because if there is a % change in interest rates, the value of bonds that have locked interest rates for 20-30 years will increase/decrease much more than a bond that is only locked for 1 year. They are thus more immune to currency changes because the rate factor is dominant. What this means in terms of the Fed cutting interest rates, is that the Fed mostly controls short term rates and long term rates are subject to market participants. So if the Fed cuts rates then short term bonds will increase in value due to a higher locked interest rate, but this increase is tiny because the duration (<1 yr) is very low. Whether the long term interest rate will go up or down will depend on not just the Fed but some other factors. You might have noticed long term rates are lower than short term rates, this is because there is already some expectation for lower future rates already priced in by market participants due to lower future inflation, lower future growth, etc. If when the Fed cuts rates and inflation picks up again, then this might not necessarily be great for long term bonds since there would be higher expected future inflation. If some sort of recession or general decrease in inflation and more importantly inflation expectations, prompting the Fed to lower rates, then long term rates will also fall, and bond values will go up. In general if the Fed cuts rates, my expectation is short term bonds will gain slightly, long term bonds will gain a lot more, but the interest rate change will be smaller. The market will also trade these bonds based on economic data and won't really wait for the Fed to move.

I am a bot. You submitted a picture of a banned ticker, BGSF. The market cap of BGSF is **254657976** This check will fire if you included unnecessary pictures that have bad phrases or a bad crop with news about cryptocoins, for example. Repost with the useless pictures omitted if you did that. Yell at /u/zjz if it's above 1 billion-ish market cap and not related to crypto/pennies/OTC.

Just some stocks i habe recently scanned out on finviz with huge upwards momentum: - $DOCN Digital Ocean Holdings. 13 Billion Market Cap, one of the biggest Platform for developers and engineers to do their computing. (Cloud-computing). Also they hold crazy big hacker competitions etc. It‘s growing about 5% per day and only yesterday made an At-the-market offering, raising 1.4 Billions in cash. Definitely a solid, solid investment. - $AEHR Aehr test systems. They make machines that test if wafers are built correct (the chiplets, from which processors are made). I am not entirely sure why they have such a crazy run in the past 2 months (+1‘100%) but there‘s an analyst target at 31$. So i just blindly hopped onto the train. I believe in it long term. 600 Million Market cap - $BGSF Job-searching agency. Their most recent earnings were about the same as q3 2019, yet the stock price is 40% below 2019 level. No dilution whatsoever to be found. So I‘m having this for a nice ride upwards. 80 Million revenue, 4.5 mil net profit in a QUARTER, means 350 Million revenue a year, 15+ Milllion profit. And market cap is at 150 Million. - 4-8 week swing trades and longer holds: - Intel: with their recent chips they brought out, they scored well and the performance is back on top-end level. Even though they got the curve, they‘re valued at nearly 1y-lows. Definitely a good entry point right now. - Biontech: no way they‘re at a 6 P/E ratio. Now that they do boosters and pandemic is far from over, they will still have a very solid income stream.

The two that come to mind are probably BGSF and BODY. BGSF isn't sexy, unless you find their financials sexy. 12 P/E ratio, just had earnings report that beat expectations by quite a lot and majority of tier 1 firms list them as a buy rating. No sell ratings from major firms.

What about a need to turn to staffing companies such as BGSF to fill important roles at reasonable rates?

It has been a wild few weeks involving a 4-day backpacking trip, a new job, a sick cat, and a 60 hour week closing things out at my former job. As a result it took me a little bit longer to get back to my research on $MHH. So here's what I've got: 1. The Staffing Industry Analysts' (SIA) estimates the US IT Temporary Staffing market reached a scale of $32.3 billion in 2019. MHH's IT staffing revenue in 2020 was 163.9 million, so their market share is very small compared to the overall market. 1. I cannot find publicly available information on Digital Transformation Consulting market. 2. A 2006 report from the SIA indicates that this market is largely fragmented and BarChart lists over 30 public companies competing in this overall market. CNNMoney lists BGSF Inc, DLH Holdings Corp, and Hirequest Inc as direct competitors/peers, which all have market caps under $300 million. 3. I am unable to answer this range of questions. 4. Mastech Digital does not break down the financial information of the acquisitions per their Q1 2021 Conference Call. However, the cash flow from operating activities in 2020 was $21.2 million (34% YoY, 48% CAGR over 10 periods). 5. The Company implemented new enterprise software applications to its backbone systems environment. The Company has capitalized $2.4 million related to this endeavor for which the core system was placed in service on July 1, 2018. The Company started amortizing these costs commencing with this go-live implementation date. Depreciation and amortization expense related to fixed assets totaled $799,000 in 2020. (from the Notes) Since I started this thread, MHH has released their Q1 2021 results. They did miss their expected revenue target and EPS, but the numbers do show overall improvement over Q4 2020. * In IT staffing the company hired 99 new billable consultants, resulting in 9% sequential growth, which was a record high. * Their Data & Analytics segment was able to book near $16 million in new contracts in the quarter, the second largest amount on record; this after having suffered contract delays in Q4 2020 and at the very beginning of the year. * Revenues were $49.8 million, which was down 1% from $50.4 million in Q1 2020. Gross margin was 25.7% versus 25.2% a year ago. Data and analytics showed growth of 19% to $8.8 million versus $7.4 million. * Diluted EPS was $0.10 compared to $0.17 a year ago and $0.29 in Q4 2020. On a non-GAAP basis EPS results were $0.19 versus $0.23. This was a result of higher expenses in the first quarter, including a higher tax rate due to stock options, and SG&A spending that was brought forward to support expected future growth. * Other numbers included: * $7.2 million in cash * a quick ratio of 1.9xs * working capital of $20.9 million * debt of $16.2 million. Debt increased by $10 million to buy AmberLeaf, and they were able to pay down $1 million of it this quarter. The stock price has fallen since the report came out, but after listening to the recorded conference call and reading a bit more, I'm encouraged how the rest of the year is going to go. I bought some more shares.

BGSF has good potential, management company. Large software investment made that would reduce costs and increase profitability. I own and have been considering buying more.
