Hyperliquid: $2-10M Daily Revenue, Going Public via DAT, and Nobody's Talking About It

Mentions

When I say "go wild, anything you do is fine" I am absolutely not talking about regulatory behavior. Sorry if that wasn't clear. What I mean is you can submit an order into a liquid stock without even seeing the price and you're going to be just fine. The liquidity and competitiveness ensure you wouldn't be able to do a bad trade even if you were trying to. The liquidity is so good and pricing is so competitive that pretty much any retail trader is getting a fair deal. I wouldn't be paranoid about sending a market order for small size during regular trading hours. I would just assume that the fill I get is more or less fair and I don't need to be cynical that the game is rigged against me. All of this presumes that you are just a normal retail trader interacting with a very liquid CLOB. I hadn't considered that anyone on this thread could ever be toxic flow. This is the investing subreddit after all.

Low risk tolerance: SGOV or VBIL Medium risk tolerance: BINC, VUSB, GSST, or PAAA High risk tolerance: CLOB, AOK, AOR, or FAGIX

They're charging fees to create this. You would likely be better off on a risk adjusted basis just buying preferred shares or mezzanine CLO Debt like CLOZ or CLOB and avoid all the added complexity they unnecessarily create and charge you for

AAA CLO ETFs invest in only the AAA tranches of CLOs. Funds such as CLOZ or CLOB also invest in non investment grade CLO tranches, which are more risky, but they will have higher returns to compensate for the extra risk

Rigged? Of course. CLOB execution ensures the house always wins—hidden spreads, priority orders, and liquidity games retail can’t see. The real edge is trading where the rules aren’t stacked against you. Adapt or be exit liquidity

The market is rigged, but not just in the obvious ways. CLOB execution gives institutions control over order flow and liquidity, putting retail at a constant disadvantage. If you’re trading, understand how execution impacts your fills, slippage, and profits, because the house always wins.

Dark pools and off-exchange trading let insiders move markets with zero transparency, exploiting CLOB mechanics while retail traders react to incomplete info. Complaints won’t fix it, market structure reform is the real solution.

Same story in crypto, many “alpha” groups profit more from selling signals than trading. Meanwhile, CLOB-based exchanges give real power to those controlling execution, leaving retail traders at a disadvantage.

Tariffs, policy reversals, and election uncertainty: classic ingredients for market manipulation. The real question is, who benefits? As always, retail traders are the ones caught in the crossfire, while insiders position themselves ahead of the moves. And with CLOB-based execution, they have all the tools they need to exploit liquidity and control price action.

Market manipulation is basically a game where the big dogs, institutions, whales, and market makers, play everyone else like a fiddle. They bait traders with stop hunts (forcing liquidations), spoofing (fake orders to fake momentum), and liquidity sweeps (grabbing all the easy money). And if you're on a centralized exchange using a CLOB (Centralized Limit Order Book), guess what? Market makers see everything, front-run trades, and pocket the spread. Retail traders? We’re just exit liquidity for their payday. The game’s rigged, but once you see the patterns, you stop falling for the traps

This kind of price action shows how market mechanics, not just fundamentals, dictate short-term moves. But be careful, CLOB execution risk is real here. Market makers and insiders have the advantage, especially with a potential short squeeze. If retail traders pile in, expect heavy volatility and potential traps before the reverse split.

Market manipulation isn’t just about direct statements; it’s also about how order books and execution models allow insiders to take advantage of retail traders. In markets with CLOB execution, large players can front-run, spoof, or wash trade to create artificial movements, making it easier to exploit hype or fear. Whether it’s politicians, institutions, or whales, the lack of fair execution leaves smaller traders at a serious disadvantage.

Man, I hear you. Losing money in trading isn’t just about the numbers it messes with your head. Taking a break might not be a bad idea, especially if it’s affecting your mental health. But before quitting entirely, ask yourself: was it really just your strategy, or was the system itself working against you? CLOB execution makes sure retail traders are always playing a losing game. Your orders get filled last, market makers set the pace, and most people don’t even realize how rigged it is. If you come back, focus on execution as much as strategy it makes a bigger difference than most traders realize. Either way, don’t beat yourself up. The market will be here when (and if) you’re ready.
