I mean, being a gamer makes you understand the companies and the market a bit better than the standard joe on the street. Most of the companies are tied into tech or consumer discentionary, so generally knowing those markets helps. But if you are actively playing their products and know the communities well, you will have a better idea about the true state of the company having played their games. I think there may be an ETF related to gaming specifically, though it would also tied into entertainment ETFs, though I would do some research on that. I've been a gamer for a loong time. I used to own NTDOY stock for a few years, and I did fairly well with the stock. Also CRSR, who manufactures hardware, though I don't think I did so well - I didn't hold it for too long. Most of these I dabbled with when I was first learning about investing. I still own MSFT, GOOGL, and NVDA, although these are more diversified plays.
Thinking of getting CRSR 15C for Jan 2027 expiry. They have gone up in the past earnings and the memory backlog is not going anywhere.

Though, I too bought as a 2021 bagholder, just an amount you carry around in your wallet, "pain" is the keyword, but the point is your nice write-up: I would have liked to read it sooner, lucid explication of the strategic mem supply-chain situation for us folks, tariff compensations and insider buying aside, just an interesting read.
