BTI, GRAB, GENK I think these will double in the next 3 years.

Is anyone buying GENK? Only publicly traded all you can eat Korean barbecue restaurant, down 77% from 2023, all time low? Growing 21% every year with 200m+ revenue 139m market cap. Don't have any but I'm tempted to pull the trigger.

I have been trying to find the next "up and coming" restaurant concept. I decided to buy some GENK Which is a Korean BBQ chain that has locations mainly on the west coast but has been branching out with a plan to have 250 stores. I feel its unique enough that it may generate a cool factor with the young crowd. The next CAVA , I doubt it but I would be happy if it was 10% a Cava. Has anyone actually eaten in 1 and has an opinion?

Funnily enough, I've actually tried it out. GENK is a sit-down and eat place, compared to all the other places where you can to-go and eat at home. KBBQ to-go is REALLY bad.

SG was a surprise for ER. I wonder if GENK has a chance of growing to the same extent as Wingstop, Cava, etc. ASTS had a strong AH move, but I assume that was due to whales buying. RKLB is on my list, though I'm not sure if it's the right time for me to start a position.

There is also another factor here that was not discussed. Post covid and as rules relaxed a bit people flocked and rushed into restaurants which had a large positive outcone on revenue in 2021/22… that seems to have subsided due to macro economic factors which are having a negative impact.. just adding lots of restaurants means nothing if suddenly all of them struggle to generate revenue or profit. Meanwhile we the ‘small’ investors have to make head or tail of it all. It is very impressive that you sold at the too given how positive you are about the stock. For whatever reason it happened and it was correct. Recently I have shorted SG and KURA to great effect .. maybe there is a combined strategy eorth exploring - yours on the way up mine on the way down? Are you ok to discuss in similar fashion to KURA other stocks from the sector? My next shoeting targets are CAVA and CMG. I also see huge weakness in GENK.

As Daniel Kahnemann just die last week it might be worth looking into his theory of biases and fallacies: >* **Anchoring bias:** They seem fixated on past performance ("food stocks have done well for me"). This can lead to overlooking other important factors when evaluating new investments (CAVA). >* **Confirmation bias:** They're seeking confirmation for their existing belief ("I'm hopeful CAVA can join the crew"). This might make them discount any negative information about CAVA. >* **Availability bias:** Their positive experiences with Wingstop (WING) and Chipotle Mexican Grill (CMG) might be making those companies seem more likely to succeed than they really are. They might not be considering other food stocks that haven't performed as well. >* **Gambler's fallacy:** They view GENK as "a wishful coin toss" but are still interested. This fallacy suggests that random events can be influenced by past outcomes, which isn't true. Just because they've had success with food stocks before doesn't guarantee GENK will be a winner. -Google Geminie

Cava is garbage. GENK is a loser too. Buy AMD 100 times better.

I’ve done both my calculations on GENK and it’s on my watchlist. They are opening 5 stores this year and 100 till 2030. 5 million revenue each with 20% operating margins. Costs of constipating stores are expected to go down due to efficiency and lower buy in prices for food. If they can execute their plans; the 400 million marketcap of today is peanuts. That being said, most of their successful restaurants are in California where there is massive appetite for exotic flavours, we will see if the concepts works all around the country..

GENK is crazy to me. Worst restaurant experience I've ever had hands down. I really don't see the appeal of paying to cook their mediocre food for them.

You can look up the lock-up expiration for any stock on a calendar. AZTR ends the 13th, GENK on the 35th, etc. This isn't some big secret. Typically you'll see a 1-3% drop which is already priced into options.
