PTA is a dividned fund it is about 8%. With 100K in the account 7% will genrate 7K a year. If you take a little more risk with GPIQ10% which is 10K a year. I have in my account QQQI 14% yield, SPYI 12%, EMO 8%, UTF 7%, UTG 6.8%, all pay dividneds monthly dividneds and are taxed at a lower rate than work income.I have built this up enough to cover all of my living expenses . You can get much higher from dividned funds and these higher yeidl result in significant earning for account with 6 figures invested. You could turn off automatic dividend reinvestment so the cash dividneds show up in a money market account which also earns interest. You can keep 6 months of liven expenses in the money market account. And any money inexcss of 6 months reinvest for more dividnedincome. This give you quick cash , and stable dividend income. GSMIX doesn't only has a held of3% and with yield that low you typically get some growth over time. but both appear to be related municipal bond. which don't pay much in dividneds. I would sell and reinvest the money into higher yield funds I mentioned.
GSMIX looks like it has a duration of about 5 years, so it'll have less price sensitivity when interest rates go up. Bond fund prices are mechanical based on interest rates. Both funds look like they're 80% investment grade bonds, so there's minimal default risk. So your implied prediction of the future of the funds is really just a prediction of future interest rates. If you can predict future interest rates, you have a very promising future as an investment banker, and you should immediately quit your job and start trading bond futures.
