Is Portugal really a Tax Haven for crypto?

There are some niche tech communities within the space, but "Crypto" on the whole is not a "community," it's just Capitalism. It's made up of technologists developing products, and "investors" looking to profit from their investments. Pure Capitalism. Competitive as fuck. The only things warm and fuzzy here are carnivorous .. Separate a leopard from its prey it will eat your face. Not financial advice but If you are looking for a feel-good community I suggest you have a child, join the PTA and sponsor a bake sale.

How about the following: 1. With crypto, you can send currency to anyone, anywhere, instantly without restrictions and for very low fees, without a central entity logging your name associated data. Dig into any fiat money transfer and ask: what are the fees? does the recipient need to use the same app? does the app log user data? can I send money internationally? can I send any denomination? can I send any currency, stocks, commodities, equities? what are the transaction times? can my transaction be halted or seized? do I have full rights to the capital on the app? I think crypto stacks up well. Of course, crypto has to be converted into fiat to be useful for purchasing. But, often people aren't sending cash for the recipient to spend it immediately and crypto/fiat ramps are getting better and better. Increasingly, many people like to keep some of their assets in crypto. 2. Capital efficiency. Bank accounts suck for storing money that you don't plan on using immediately. Crypto allows you to borrow against your capital without kyc, provide liquidity for swaps ... 3. Banks / apps can freeze your assets. Brokers can halt trading. Granted, terra halted their chain. (But you can still trade luna, ust on other chains ...) 4. I want to be able to trade between crypto, equities, commodities, futures and currencies 24/7 with leverage. On chain I can do this including derivative instruments with 0 kyc. Granted, you have to trust the entities that back the equity, commodity .. tokens, but that's baked into the risk that you're taking on. 5. Here's a weird one. Suppose you think a crypto is going to plumment and you want to short it. Where can you do that other than crypto? (In the US, only two cefi entities allow for options trading and they only do BTC and ETH). Thought UST was a ponzi? Why not short it? Where exactly can you do that other than crypto? For example, you could have shorted UST on Solend relative to USDC. 6. Prediction markets and online gambling are way better on crypto. 7. Art NFTs. Not the hugest fan, but I have to admit, other people care about them. I also don't care about sneakers, buying modern art, fashion, in game assets ... or all of the other shit that people spend a ton of money on. But, people value them and I don't begrudge them for that. NFTs are the same as far as I'm concerned. 8. DAOs. Crytpo makes DAOs work well and there are a bunch of successful cases. There are DAOs that are associated with products or protocols that if a tech company had that cash flow would be a multi-billion dollar startup. Maker and Uniswap come to mind. There was a local problem where someone was skimming off the PTA funds at a school. Would this have occurred if it were a DAO? Charitable DAOs, investment DAOs, protocol DAOs, NFT DAOs, these all exist now. 9. Working with tradfi and cefi sucks. Anyone sufficiently involved with Defi sees how easy everything gets once you get assets on chain. Sure, the guardrails are off and you may lose everything due to your own mistakes. But, that risk is what you absorb to have an infinitely better experience than tradfi.

\*A little background about myself:\* I started mining BTC in 2015 in China, and have since moved my operations to the US. Currently my company is building a new renewable energy totally immersion cooling center in Texas. Through the years, I've developed relations with Bitmain to the point where I exclusively mine with their hardware. # I receive a lot of DMs on Reddit or elsewhere asking, "can I buy one please". The problem for the average joe retail miner is that they don't have access to the direct channels with the manufacturers at wholesale prices. Especially if you only want to "buy one please".But more than that, one of the best parts about the hardware business is buying/selling the futures contracts. The closer to delivery date, the more expensive they get. As some of you probably know, we can buy a contract for 100 miners from Bitmain delivery in July, and then sell the contract to someone else, before we even take delivery, for a profit._______________________________________________________________________________________________These are the two main issues that I think a tokenized ASIC Miner would solve.1. Ability for retail investors to get only a couple of units at wholesale.2. Ease to buy/sell the future contracts in the form of an NFT._______________________________________________________________________________________________ This is basically a crowdsourced ASIC mining hardware PTA (physical tangible asset) NFT. I will use my relationship with Bitmain to get wholesale prices. In stock machines in the US are selling from $120-150 per TH/s on Amazon and Ebay. If the current trend continues, we can expect landed S19 XP 150TH/s to sell for around $18-$20,000. Once the hardware is delivered in the US, (to my warehouse), holders will need to burn their NFT in order for their unit to be shipped to them. However, you could sell the NFT before delivery because this should create liquidity on the future miner delivery contracts. I will also provide an option to burn 10 in order to receive 1 'Hashrate' token in the equivalent of 1 = 1500TH/s. Historically speaking, the futures contracts of the mining hardware have risen in price the closer it is to the delivery date. We are tokenizing these futures contracts enabling the ability to buy and sell before delivery. Payback on these models is currently 6-7 months estimated by NiceHash. I've gone ahead and made a couple OS listings, although sale hasn't started. This is just me with an idea and to see if its good or not. Website will be done in a day or two. We have a TG and Discord group if anyone is interested in the concept. \*And please, all feedback is very welcome. I will be transparent as possible, posting my contracts, PO's, and possibly conversations with Bitmain on my website for the project - if/when we decide to launch. I've made a TG group to further spitball ideas about the project. Anyone is welcome to join to help make this a reality.\*

I'm inclined to believe it would start with privately funded schools and maybe some grant sponsored pilot programs. With the great caliber of questions you're asking do you have a good understanding of the education system? Because damn you'd be awesome at PTA meetings.

When I was in middle school my school tried to implement a dress code. And at the PTA meeting they announced that students had to buy the uniform from their “designated supplier” and the prices were highway robbery, like 50 dollars for a single khaki pant (mind you this was 2002). And when one of the parents stood up and said, why can I just let my kid go to school in khakis from JC penny, the school said, “well the official khakis have a tiny tag on the inside that has the name of the school on it so that’s why you have to order it from the official supplier” The parents ended that proposal very fast

I think he does hold his bitcoin in cold storage. He has bet his company on the success of bitcoin. Whenever you have human beings involved your going to have control issue and power plays. Its the natural state of human nature. Whether its the PTA, softball league or organized sports. Someone always wants to categorize and control. Oh yeah, and don't forget about the taxes...

Hey, not crypto related, but regarding your physical therapy: it might be worth going out of your insurance network to see what kind of relief you can get from your pain. A lot of in-network clinics insist on three visits a week, and the time spent there is typically passive: hot and cold treatments, a little soft tissue massage, going through your home exercises. Out of network care tends to be more focused and results-driven, and gives you more one on one time with a DPT, not a PTA. I work at a clinic that’s cash based and I can’t tell you how many patients I talk to that have been getting subpar PT in network for months, and the next suggestion from their physician is “well, that didn’t work. Guess you need surgery.” It’s a crappy situation to be in regardless, and I’m very sorry. Don’t hesitate to reach out if there’s anything I can do to help.

Somebody said mining!!?? They need a permit for that. They're also going to need a study to see if your computer is compatible with the type of software you want to run. This will give us time to figure out a way to hide all the corruption Bitcoin could expose. Then it's going to have to go through the union, the EPA and, the PTA. Finally we will give it the racial slur test. Lastly it gets a parking fine. Because... "This is New York!"
