I think IAUX VGZ and workhorse group and OPTT will all do the same thing by end of year due to increase in gold prices and workhouse coming out with a longer range EV and OPTT securing contracts with countries.
I didn't know Workhorse Group actually had real electric vans when I bought it that's an easy 10x. OPTT actually make like win turbine generators I have no idea why it's so cheap. And VGZ has a feasibility report in July but I want to get 1000 calls out for EOY but not sure if I should do OPTT calls or VGZ and idk if IAUX is better but I'm watching it
If you're into precious metals, check out USAS and IAUX
I agree there’s no love for mining stocks but gold companies in particular are making money hand over fist. I think it hasn’t really been priced in yet because this big move in gold has only started over the last year and no one is sure if it will stick and go higher or trend back down. With Trump in office for the next four years I think there will be plenty of uncertainty and instability in the markets and geopolitical environment to keep gold going higher. One ticker I like is $IAUX, it’s been beaten down but has a great portfolio of assets all in Nevada with a new CEO turning things around and a number of catalysts coming in the next several weeks.
> https://lautorite.qc.ca/en/general-public/investments/knowledgeable-investors/investing-in-mining-companies > This site seems to have some good things on what you can look at. Thanks for the link, at least it is pointing me in the right direction regarding stuff I should look into deeper! > Maybe I’ll try to write something up sometime This would be a really cool read! > It really depends on which stage of company you are willing to invest in as well. > Without being a geologist I think it would be very difficult to interpret drill results correctly. Mmm yeah, difficult to know what I am precisely looking for. My background is being a physicist, but all I know about geology is about high-school level. I started looking into mining hoping to see some aspects I like of pharmaceuticals. There are opportunities I like where some company is not producing revenue (since they still have to start ramping up sales) while the investment thesis is quite derisked due to the fact that clinical trials and new drug application have been completed already. Sometimes the market is not pricing this in as it should, probably due to GAAP earnings failing to represent a good picture of the company at this stage, or maybe because manufacturing starts taking longer than expected, or some other issue/delay/whatever... As a very ignorant person, as far as mining is concerned, I would hope to see similar opportunities in mining since in both cases there are significant lags between an investments and its returns. At least this is the logic with which I ended up finding out about IAUX, but I don't know how much sense this makes. So, I guess what I would need to be able to understand more or less is: - The exploration process and at which point of the exploration I can be pretty confident about the nature of what is actually underground, and - How to predict production/sales of the mine that is becoming operational
IAUX bagholder here. They have diluted the fuck out of shareholders over the past years. Stay away.
