In principle I want to agree with you, but we enter a different territory when we are talking about animal husbandry and farming. You have to think about where it came from, back in the day they would just let animals breed naturally, but soon enough there were too many people too many mouths to feed, and people were dying of starvation, so man figured out how to accelerate the breeding process. That started out really simple at first by just penning up a male and a female in heat until things happened, but when we let things happen naturally the male can also often hurt the female. Sometimes females are killed by males. So we took it a step further and now most factory farming uses IVF. We rationalize this because it's safer for the animal and because we have population in need of food. Factory farming is evil, but some parts are necessary evils to sustain the world. I'm not saying I agree with it, I'm not saying we can't do better, I'm just saying "this is how we got here". We have hungry people to feed. If we stop, a lot of people will die. We can change how we do things, but those things will take time, probably years if not decades.
