You can buy any reputable wallet. Open source and Bitcoin only are best. I use BitBox02 (BTC only version) Set up take about 15 min. You'll get a 24 word seed phrase. Guard this with your life. No pictures of it, no saying it out loud, definitely never type it into a device connected to internet etc. (or really any device other than your wallet). Then congrats, you have the first asset that could never be revoked from you. The other thing is, not CB actually has to own the BTC they send you. If you don't withdraw, they don't even have to buy Bitcoin, they will gladly just hold your money like fractional reserve banking to a certain extent. Yeah. Manually. Old school. How many characters do you need? In what range ? Check out the ASCII code for each and use that coupled with your random number outcome generator to arrive at what you need. Google will help you work it out. If you're looking for a quick fix for a third party online 'click once' generator then you're taking a risk. Pick an open source one, or preferably two or three - to randomise the supposed random events if you prefer that to using a manual method. And then mix them up. I'd never heard of minikey before so not sure why you need it. I trust you do. But given I know so little about what a mini key is or does then I can only suggest that you avoid any single source, and/or closed source way to get there. GL

There are different ways. The goal is to get as random data as possible. A well shuffled deck of cards can be used. Or if you have dice then you could you those. You can even just flib a coin enough times. Depending on what you have available of course and as other poster asked - what it is you are trying to achieve. Is it just a 12 or 24 word seed phrase you are looking for? If possible then I would recommend adding a custom passphrase to any seed phrase you arrive at. That adds another big layer of security. Ideally though, a reputable hardware wallet from a reputable source is the way to go. Even if now you don't have much if you hope to have more in the future then that security could prove priceless. Depends on your risk tolerance, you could gamble away on speculation on an alt that’s down -75% or so from this past March or April.. Or play it safe and either go all in on BTC or ETH, if you are concerned about self custody, I suppose you can go the ETF route. GL OP!

Halving is having less and less effects. Maybe no more big cycles. At the start it was a massive miner supply reduction. Last time. Not anywhere near as much. This time. Probably less again. Next time we might not even get a bear market/cycle. No one knows but almost certainly the massive halving effects are gone. And so although it still maybe might be worth it if you're lucky. The difference/benefit is becoming less and less between cycle highs and lows. Guess at your peril. More likely that external events you can't forsee will move the price going forward. GL
