Anyone holding MRLN? Q2 earnings just came out and the stock tanked 15%. I’m still up slightly on my position and remain convinced that autonomy is the future of aviation, but the lack of turnaround signs and the delayed military contract make me hesitant to add more. Stock dilution is also expected. Is this still an educated lottery ticket, or is it time to reconsider?

Probably invested in MRLN or KDK

What I think people need to understand about MRLN is it’s an educated lottery ticket. If Merlin gains contracts this stock 🚀s. If they can’t get contracts you lose all your money. The tech seems to work. What we’re waiting on is contracts. If Merlin already had contracts, there wouldn’t be much money to be made investing in it. They need to get real contracts before anyone cares about revenue. Just gotta hope they’re able to. That’s all that matters.

Is MRLN legit to buy?

There were a ton of battery start-ups promising to be the battery solution of the future during the EV spac boom, and they’ve all basically tanked (QS, SLDP, ENVX, & I’m sure more). Maybe FAC pulls it off, but batteries in general are an incredibly competitive space, and seems like a long shot. If I’m going to take a recent post SPAC bust moonshot I’d probably go with something like MRLN, or even a SECZ, that can at least scale without the manufacturing/cap ex overhang that batteries comparatively have.

I've been thinking this way for a while but couldn't find the words or feelings that described it. This is like this company MRLN that I bought back in November. I never heard of them, but I love the stock now. Don't buy it now.
