Harder Than a Rock for Materion Corporation ($MTRN)
Overlooked stocks that supply growing industries
Mentions
I’m looking at materials companies that support the semiconductor industry. $WOLF, $ENTG, $ESI, $MTRN, etc.
I'm cautious about predicting a nuclear boom as well. I think we'll see an increase as attempts are made with the new reactor techs, and I do have some MTRN to take advantage of that. But i also think it will again fizzle as geothermal expands to cover peaks and renewables continue to get cheaper.
I agree the GAAP miss is accounting noise. The stock MTRN recently saw this. 15% dump after EPS miss due to accounting write off, then quickly reclaimed highs.
When it comes to nuclear, I decided to stay away from direct stocks and went with MTRN, which supplies the advanced materials that almost any kind of nuclear reactor would need.
Materion (MTRN) for 2026. World needs beryllium in a bad way. You want this one.
Look into MP, UUUU, MTRN, UURAF, and LYSDY if you’re interested in the most established REE (rare earth element) production companies with the strongest moats. As for CM (critical mineral) producers in general, there’s a lot to list, but some gems that come to mind are TUNGF, UAMY, USAR, TII, and USAS.
Explain this one, $MTRN beats earnings, down on the day big
The #1 answer is Fusion Energy. Fusion has the ability to solve all energy problems, and if you think AI-singularity is the future, it's not going to happen without fusion. The massive data centers need massive power, and they are already connecting up directly to nuclear reactors. Once fusion becomes viable, and it is very close, everyone will want their own fusion reactor. And they will be money printers. Whoever controls fusion will control AI -- and the world. You cannot invest in fusion reactor companies directly at the moment because none are public. But they eventually will be public, and I will load up when they do. Of course, assuming it doesn't appear to be a dilution trap. Commonwealth and Helion are the top picks. Helion already has a deal with Microsoft to supply fusion power by 2028. Whether it actually happens is anyone's guess. However you can buy stocks in companies that make critical fusion reactor components. My favorite ones here are AMSC, BWXT, and MTRN. AMSC – Makes high-temperature superconducting (HTS) wires and magnet systems used in fusion reactors to generate and contain powerful magnetic fields. BWXT – Builds reactor pressure vessels, fuel systems, and heavy nuclear components that can be adapted for fusion vacuum chambers and structural assemblies. MTRN – Supplies beryllium and advanced alloys used in fusion blankets, first-wall shielding, and neutron-resistant structural materials. Obviously anything fusion is highly speculative but it is crucial to get in early. These 3 are also great companies in their own right, not counting anything fusion related.
If you think this is crazy. You should look into MTRN, LEU, BWXT. Those guys are the real key players in this puzzle for nuclear energy. Not financial advice.
Extremely bullish on not only MP, but all domestic critical mineral miners/refiners. It has so much bipartisan support. My Favorites: PPTA - Antimony and Gold Miner UAMY - Antimony Miner and Refiner MTRN - Beryllium Refiner UURAF - RE Refiner They have been absolutely fantastic this year and I don’t see and policy changes anytime soon.
Domestic Critical Mineral Producers: MP, UAMY, MTRN, PPTA
$GHM (heart/skin of Navy fleet upgrades), $PSN (backbone of missile defense system since 80s’ Star Wars initiative), $MTRN (the de facto only supplier of large-scale beryllium, a critical element for space and defense industry), $MRCY(embedded software, edge computing for drones)
For Golden Dome, PSN, and MTRN: MTRN serves as an enabler for all manufacturing companies by supplying the essential element, beryllium. PSN acts as the brain, coordinating all the components within missile defense systems and space infrastructure engineering.
MTRN - maybe not as exciting but materials to help semi and space revolutions!
Fuck MTRN, keep falling I dare ya!
MTRN is my play in this area. Supply parts for EV, space, and renewables (mainly nuke). Last couple of Quarterly results have been exceptional.
MTRN. Supplies specialized materials across a ton of different sectors, including space, EV, and clean energy.
The contortions done to explain why the squeeze is actually just around the corner and the “genius CEO has them trapped” rhetoric is phenomenal. All my long term plays are pharma or miners. I do believe CTXR will be an excellent long term value as I see mino-lok becoming the standard of care at hospitals. I like BITF for mining since they have a great setup with the hydropower. My other long term, but non penny is MTRN. Specialized materials with heavy involvement in EV, space, and energy screams value to me.
MTRN crushed earnings once again. Should have a great day. Institutional ownership covers 93% of the OS and the volume is typically 100k, so this bitch moves quickly with any kind of good news. Last ER beat saw a nice jump.
Heavily invested in MTRN earnings call tomorrow. Stock has popped after the last two earnings beats. Low float with low average volume. Fingers crossed.
MTRN has crushed its last two earnings, and actually goes pup after doing so. Gonna load up on 8/20 calls.
$MTRN calls are still paying in this sea of red!
MTRN crushed earnings second time in a row. I’d peg valuation at $80 with room to grow.
Not a meme stock, but MTRN crushed it on earnings report and is having a huge day. Still undervalued and could pick up another 10% by end of the month.
I am full retard locked into RH. I know. You don;t have to say it but you might as well if it;s funny. I hodl GME 50. In past I am sent message for voting on AMC and MTRN. Now no message for voting. RH has hidden all of it;s contact stuffs but one, they can;t legally I think. If you are hapless moron trapped by hypocrite like me and can;t find link for pointless scolding it is thus. Help center > accessibility options scroll aallllll to the bottom for email link. Await bullshit reply.
MTRN calls. Beat earnings last Q and got a nice bump. Expected to do so again.
