I’m new to the world of investing, and although I have been purchasing other stocks to not put all of my eggs in one basket, this particular one I’ve been eyeing for the past month. I’m not sure how all of you do it, but it’s really inspiring to see the amount of work you put into finding a good stock. I hope one day I can get there. This particular stock, ONCY, I’ve been buying as much as I can because I’ve been researching it a lot and it seems very strong and has a ton going for it. With cancer on the rise with more and more young people, and with the work they are doing and continue to do, I think this company is the one. I wish I had more to invest additional funds and, but I’m currently at 4000 shares. Anyhow, thanks to everybody who posts these great responses with all of this valuable information. I did not know about the shares needing to be above one dollar for 10 consecutive days before August, so I will definitely be paying attention to that! So far, so good.

Oncolytics Biotech (ONCY) just appointed seasoned biotech deal-maker Jared Kelly as CEO bringing his experience from Ambrx’s $2 billion sale to Johnson & Johnson. They might also be going for an M&A if they got an expert.
I found this PR released today: ONCY) (TSX: ONC), a leading clinical-stage company specializing in immunotherapy for oncology, today announced the appointment of Jared Kelly as Chief Executive Officer and a member of its Board of Directors. Mr. Kelly is a successful biotech executive who has proven expertise in transformative deals and corporate strategy. Most recently, he played a central role in orchestrating the sale of Ambrx Biopharma to Johnson & Johnson for $2 billion. Prior to Ambrx, he advised multiple leading-edge biotech companies on M&A and licensing transactions at highly respected law firms, including Lowenstein Sandler LLP and Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He is a JD and LLM graduate of Georgetown Law.
So, for ONCY’s timeline, there are a few big things coming up. For pancreatic cancer (GOBLET cohort 5), they’re planning to release initial efficacy data in the second half of 2025—if those results are strong, it could really move the stock. There’s also more data expected this year for their anal cancer trial (GOBLET cohort 4). On the breast cancer side, they’ve already got solid phase 2 results from the BRACELET-1 study, and they’re now talking to the FDA about moving into a registration (phase 3) trial. The first patient for that breast cancer phase 3 is supposed to be enrolled later this year. So basically, from the second half of 2025 into next year, we should see a steady stream of important clinical updates for both pancreatic and breast cancer. What’s interesting is that ONCY needs to get their share price above $1 for at least 10 consecutive days before August 10th to avoid a Nasdaq delisting. I’m guessing the company will want to share positive news or updates before that deadline to help boost the price. On the cash side, as of the first quarter, they had about $15.3 million in cash left. Plus, they recently signed a $20 million equity purchase agreement with Alumni Capital, so they’re not in immediate trouble for operating funds. The company says this should be enough to cover their main clinical milestones through at least Q3 this year. If you like investing into Cannabis stocks, do it with HITIF they're bullish af. I sold all my sundial cause it's just caught in the meme stock category essentially. HITIF is building more stores, buying out competition, and will probably be up by 30+% by the end of the year. Arguably one of my most confident longer term, behind BB and ONCY lol
Absolutely, the whole market is basically a scam. Just each time a different theme. Look at the historical high of all bio medical stocks, the tech stocks recently: Yumanity over 400 $ now less than 20/ ONCY over 60$ now less than 4/ XERS 25$ now less than 4/ IDRA 50$ now less than 2....the list is very long. My deepest sympathy for those who lose money on them. It really hurt just to see these numbers even without being involved.

(ONCY) just announced some good news and is already heating up in premarket, Ive been making a killing in cheap biotech stocks lately, lots of people doing their gambling on a smaller scale right now I think with everything else so volatile.
You're not alone. Bagheld two flatlined pharmas for years (ONCY and TTNP) until last week. Literally a day after I sold my positions in each, they bounced. Beginning to think Boomer trading is the superior way to trade. I'm going to buy a random stock and just hold it till I drop dead.
