Looking for advice for ETFs around Health, esp GLP-1 Agonistics etc
Steinhoff: From 0.20 EUR to 0.50-1.00 EUR in 2 days

You've got a few options - ETFs that are 100% healthcare focused, or ones with a portion of the portfolio in healthcare. PPH looks pretty good for high-concentration in healthcare although it's specifically focused on pharma. Decent Sharpe and beta (0.56/0.51). For broader industry coverage maybe VHT? But the industry more broadly has underperformed pharma specifically over the last year. Anyway, there are quite a few to look at. Second day with my screener flooded by Chinese pump and dump stocks 😫. We all gambling here at this point. $PPH might possibly be the next candidate keeping an eye on it.
Also you mentioned underrating the medical sector, would you kindly offer any suggestions into investing towards that? I wanted to add more exposure to the medical field which I initially did with PPH, but I am open to other suggestions if you are willing to share!
PPH looks like Iike a very solid ETF, just not a dedicated GLP-1 play like the others.
I’m still happily in PPH, and I bought more of it when it dipped down to $85 recently. With the fluctuations of Novo and Lilly lately, I feel bad for anyone who tried to “pick” the winners.
I wouldnt try to pick individual winners in this space. Look for ETFs that are made up of drug makers and drug sellers. I got into PPH over a year ago due to LLY and NVO being top dogs in it. But there are more out there now I may move into instead, OZEM, HRTS, THNR to name a few.
I'm Canadian. I bought a pharma ETF. PPH. Not sure if you have access to it. It has other stuff in it but Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk are its top 2 holdings.
I will not PPH my $900 NVDA call. I will hold until it’s ITM tomorrow at 1:25
Get both. I would advocate PPH over anything else if you are interested in the sector as it has both LLY and NVO, and as its top two holdings.
Consider the following ETFs: * iShares Core Dividend Growth ETF (**DGRO**) * VanEck Pharmaceutical ETF (**PPH**) * Catalyst Systematic Alpha Fund Class I (**ATRFX**) * Vanguard Internatl High Div Yield Index Fund (**VYMI**)
Or maybe just buy PPH ETF and call it a day. I don’t know if I buy your arguments. Obese people generally need to lose a lot of weight. Many overweight people taking Ozempic/Mounjaro despite not really needing it would prefer to lose weight faster. These are the priorities of that particular market. Mounjaro promises to help you lose twice the weight faster, making it a more appealing chose for overweight and obese individuals. If all goes well for Eli Lilly, I expect Mounjaro to cannibalise Ozempic’s market share in the next 1-2 years. Due to being located in the US, Eli Lilly will also have better access to capital and can take on more debt to quickly scale up manufacturing. I mean… just look back at the COVID vaccines. Which pharmaceutical companies won the day by quickly scaling up production? It wasn’t German BioNTech or the UK’s AstraZeneca. It was Pfizer and J&J. Eli Lilly is much better prepared than Danish Novo Nordisk to take on that market.
Check out PPH. It's an EFT that has a lot of diff companies of this type. Might be a nice way to slowly get some safe exposure.
ÀPPH just made a big move and I see blue skies ahead
Keytruda and GLP-1s arent going away any time soon. Those are fine picks. Maybe sprinkle in some BMS and Lily for Opdivo and Mounjaro in case of cannibalization. Or just buy PPH. Pharma is hard, man.
Cashed out of midterm plays: 1. [$GOOG](https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbetsOGs/comments/yokowh/daily_discussion_thread_november_07_2022/ivg4fqs/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3) 2. [$PPH](https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbetsOGs/comments/yokowh/daily_discussion_thread_november_07_2022/ivfvhj9/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3) (Pharma ETF) * Pre-midterm thesis was: Less antitrust, less regulation, respectively * Actual result: Weeks of more people Googling what is happening from midterms, increased sales of headache medicine *Right street, wrong House*
Putting my chips on long $PPH (large cap pharm ETF) for this week’s midterm play. Bit of a win so far today. Lower upside but lower risk
Already booked the appointment, PPH Friday 😌
Takko/ APEX head Barbara Graf moves to Pepco. Takko has over 1000 stores in Europe and is almost bankrupt. Rumors about Takko sale to Pepco in Arriva Forum. $SNH $PPH
It may be an investment solution, but considering that there are many legal questions around gambling and sports betting in the US, it may take time to get some profit out of it. Online casinos are prohibited in many states, so I don't see a development path for their service. It doesn't seem that the situation is going to change in the nearest four years. Although, in Europe, the context is different (the European countries don't restrict it as the US does). They have a good product, but there is a lot of competition in online casinos: bet365, 1xbet, marathon, etc. And there is the pay-per-head software. They sprang up like mushrooms. For a college kid who makes bets for some friends, PPH software like a sharp bookie or is more fitted than making a deal with ELYS.
Pepkor Holdings Limited (PPH.JO) (+6.12%) This bodes well.
They like to talk about PPH at work. I've suggested they call out the top and bottom 5 every day with publicly posted lists of BIG PPH ENERGY and SMOL PPH ENERGY
I swear these co ordinated attacks are bad long term for the hedgies. Each time they try one, and the price explodes back up, some percentage of potential paper handers (PPH’s) realise that paper handing may not be a wise idea. The next time the attack comes, we have a smaller % of PPH’s. The next time, we have an even smaller %.
PPH for paper hands or peepee hands actually
