If you're going to do a bond fund in the Roth (think you're better off elsewhere with that), do an aggressive active income fund. RCTIX, PIMIX, PYLD something along those lines.
Only put bonds in your Roth if that’s your only account. If you also have a traditional IRA, put the bonds there. Stay away from aggregate bond indexes, I’d go with an active manager, something like PYLD for example.
Spot on OP! Underperformed but over performing this year due to international! 6% cash is wild. You should screenshot this and then build the portfolio yourself and rebalance once a year and reallocate the cash position to something like PYLD
I’ve done very well with PYLD and LDUR (also from PIMCO).
If you love PIMIX (I do), PYLD is worth checking out.
PYLD, VFLO, and QLTY. ICSH and JMST for ultra short duration bonds.
I'm always buying. I was getting internet bubble vibes, I know this time is different, but I was buying actively managed bond funds: ICSH, BINC and PYLD. Yesterday and today, I added to several of my dividend stocks: AVGO, ABBV, JPM.
