Thanks, Greg! I've enjoyed the price movement of this stock the past two months. Since 5/24, up 70% on intraday highs/lows and up 40% on closes during the same time period. The new CEO coming in is going to continue to brighten the mood and tempo for the better. Him buying $1,000,000 in stock out of the gate says it all. Great news recently with the resource report which only accounts for a fraction of the information RECAF's gathered to date...not to mention, it only covers a portion of the license area as well. I think RECAF has a very bright future ahead.

I have held this stock for over a year. I was down double digits for most of this time. Even after it jumped over 100% last week I was still down. Since yesterday, however, I'm up double digits so I'm happy. IVCTF has been heavily shorted but probably less so since it jumped up. Yes, there is evidence of a working petroleum system but no traps have been found yet. I also am holding RECAF which has tanked. It is also heavily shorted. My intuition says to take the profits but my gut won't let me. I will hang on to both just in case commercially viable hydrocarbons are found. That will result in pandemonium. I want to be there when that happens. I've never been to the moon.

You could pick a couple of inexpensive stocks that have big growth potential and go all in on them. I doubt you would see 10x growth in 3 months but its not outside the realm of possibility. Any stock that could gain you that much money could also make what you have evaporate. Two that might at least have the potential to grow like that that are $TRLEF and $RECAF. I have both in my portfolio as a roll of the dice. It is gambling no matter what you do but i think going for something small that might explode is your only possible strategy for meeting your stated need. I think both that i mentioned are solid investments but nothing is without risk. Personally, I wouldn't suggest options in this market with your budget and needs, you might be better off playing roulette as someone else suggested. Not financial advice and not an expert by any means, take it for what it is worth. Do your own DD before buying anything. Do what you are comfortable doing, or as others have suggested use the 3k to start paying off whatever your need is.

I think the worst thing for RECAF is they’re spending tens of millions and will end up being in the hundreds of millions to conduct all their seismic tests to find oil discoveries. With it being years down the road before they produce, I’d bet they have to conduct stock sale to raise more capital causing share dilution. It’s risky as hell to trust a company that’s burning through cash and hasn’t produced a barrel.
Ethan, If I had known of them would have bot them earlier. I am a rusty geologist. So started about $7 and have averaged down, so ahead on some accounts and behind on others, call it even overall. They have a large short position and a short firm, Viceroy, that has spread FUD and rumors. 80% of my stock is borrowed by shorts consistently. The worst thing for RECAF is they have rich and powerful enemies like Natgeo and Prince Harry. Harry has admitted why he against them is that he fears they have 100 billion barrels of oil. He wants people to stop using oil and for Namibia to stay primitive and poor (he used other words for that). Right now IMHO is the best time to own RECAF, I have added since they started drilling again. Cheers
I got out of RECAF. Bought at $2.75 and sold at $9. Started to worry me when they were being vague with investors and the rumors of them just drilling test wells and praying scared me off. There’s other way better oil plays with companies that have produced and will continue to do so.
I think that might be to sumjpa, but most of the oil stocks I listed will have huge profits like FECEF, SPGYF, PEYUF. RECAF will not, drilling not in production, but they may hit billions of barrels this summer in Namibia. I am playing the risk/reward game on that one, Reddit has lots of info on RECAF. Cheers

RECAF, Canadian oil company with the rights to a gigantic basin in Nambia. Second round of drilling should be starting in the next couple weeks if you’re looking for a short term flip, but for me I’ll be accumulating at least until there’s a JV.
I like this one oil and gas exploration company Reconnaissance Energy Africa, tickets CVE: RECO or OTCMKTS: RECAF. They are speculated to begin drilling in the Kavango basin shortly and basically the next year at any point can be +1000% or -100%. So yeh I think it’s what ur lookin for in terms of risk.
I don’t know how cheap you’re looking to go but I’m all in on RECAF. It’s risky but I believe it’s going to pay off big.
