YOLO’d into SSO + QLD + TSMX at 27. My retirement plan is vibes and semiconductors.

Same here. Took some profits and in general did some rebalancing/consolidation. Definitely left some money on the table while trimming. Still an active participant, though, with some SOXL, KORU, DRAM, TECL, NVDL, TSMX. Sitting on 30% cash now ready for the next red light therapy.
TQQQ, SOXL, NVDL, TSMX, MUU, etc
Whelp I bought TSMX thinking it would make an easy swing trade when TSM beat earnings. Now I’m down 6%. Really didn’t want to hold a leveraged position over the weekend but surely it’ll go back up right? Or am I just fooling myself and get out to cut my losses?
Sorry I bought TSMX thinking it would be a good swing trade yesterday.
I'll be honest, TSMX is my benchmark. If I beat that I'm doing well. They're rock solid, great management, basically a monopoly, they're my favorite company. TSMC will absolutely, barring geopolitical disaster, return an average of at least 30%/year for the next 5 years. My current portfolio is 60% Micron and SanDisk, 15% Western Digital and Seagate, and 25% Lumentum and Applied Optoelectronics. As mentioned I took a good chunk out of some of those for a 48-hour TSMX swing trade, but the money's going right back.
Might be a bit slower this year for TSMC because the RAM supply has gone down. Leas RAM means less GPU sales which means less TSMX chip sales.
Jesus Christ and I was salty about losing 1.4k on TSMX shares...
TSMU has worked out better for me. What drew you to TSMX?
$TSMX - TSMC 2x Leverage ETF, Tomorrow's Pre Market earnings report is going tk be juicy.I have 321 shares
I have 300 shares (~$16k) in $TSMX - TSM 2x Leverage for the earnings coming out 10/16 pre-market, will be loading up some more of these tomorrow
leverage it with TSMX/ASMG
Had TSMX, sold… now looking at it and/or calls
Calls or TSMX… China invited Trump to their military parade… bullish
Loaded the boat with NVDL and TSMX Easy peasy
It’s leveraged. It’s gambling. If you are pretty sure that TSM is gonna go up, TSMX is gonna go up even more.
How does holding TSMX make sense to hold long term if it’s a daily bull?
I own a bunch of TSMX. I’m down like 40% on it now cause of Cheeto. But I’m keeping it until it’s green. I do actually imagine a world where semiconductor demand starts to dry up. People realize that AI does nothing useful for them, and they keep using their iPhone 12 for another 5 years because phones aren't actually changing at all. Gamers realize that chasing 4k -> 8k performance is just a waste of money. This is an unlikely scenario but definitely possible IMO.
My only holdings are TSMX and WOLF shares. Let the semis gape me
Huh? If TSM for some reason goes up around 50% and this 2x leverage stock works, he should be close to doubling his money. And at 18 I doubt he's making over $50K, meaning short term capital gains would be 10% or 12% on his profit. So if he sold this TSMX for a $10K gain, he'd pay $1K or 1.2K in taxes and keep $9K or $8.8K.
I'm buying $TSMX, on the hope that he can't get away with running up chip prices right now. If this country is actually stupid enough to go through with his plan, then I'll just be poor forever.
