Localbitcoins were used most of all by the CIS countries. Then more bitcoin trading platforms appeared. I think they couldn't compete because the closure wasn't instant. Before the closure of Localbitcoins, the turnover was very weak, although the platform worked.

Works great for me. I enabled Ubuntu pro and get 10 years of free security updates. You can also follow the CIS guidelines to harden Ubuntu to industrial and governmental standards.

This is very true. Especially when it involves hundreds of millions of dollars. Take the Russian ransomware groups as a prime example. They are allowed to operate with near immunity in the CIS countries region as long as they bribe the right people and do not attack any CIS countries. They make hundreds of millions of dollars a year.

There is no reason why an enterprise level company should not be required to follow the CIS and SOC compliance benchmarks. Especially when handling consumer assets. It’s really unfortunate.

It’s an interesting thought for a poll however there are several obvious choices not there. I used to interview people for positions who were bachelor or master level. All I can say is not all degrees or people are created equally. Like a masters holder who when asked to define how DNS works promptly and arrogantly described a Google search, including using the name more than once in their description. At the time that was for a senior position in an embedded team. CIS major btw. With my some college level education it was always hilarious to hear a lot of these people eloquently describe how a non degree holder couldn’t even do the job. As the example above did as well, to me senior platform and the senior network engineer who also did not have a degree and were interviewing him. When the senior network person explained that actually neither of us had a degree the candidate literally doubled down and insisted he was correct. Pass. Be careful attributing to much to a piece of paper and not enough on real domain knowledge.

tldr; Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has offered to support Azerbaijan in efforts to establish regulations for digital assets. Binance is ready to provide support to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan in elaborating mechanisms for crypto regulation, the company's Director of Governmental Relations in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Olga Goncharova said. The exchange has been active in the region this year, seeking to expand market presence. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. And many of them purchased slaves who were put up for sale by black people. Let’s not pretend the black communities shit didn’t stink either. Both were people of their time and you can’t compare them to the standards of today. Also, it was ‘CIS’ white men who put an end to slavery, against many of the African blacks wishes. African slavery had been a thriving business spanning many thousands of years, however, white Europeans got involved for a very short amount of time before realising this was simply wrong. It was white, mostly British men who then sacrificed much in the way of resources and many sailors lives as they attempted to police the high seas and put a stop to this vile practice. We should have a National give thanks to white men day for abolishing slavery. Out of all the races around the world, what was it about white people over every other race that enabled them to realise that slavery was wrong, so quickly? British white men deserve reparations to this day from the west Africans who cost them so much in the way of lives, ships and resources lost!

btc-e/wex was a big one in Russia and CIS, I didnt follow the story, but since my email for them is full of spam, I'd assume they either got hacked or taken over by crooks at some point. Wiki says it peaked at 3% and then the owners got arrested and funds seized.
