Dual boot, mac uses Intel hardware now so dual boot is easy to do with an Intel i5 or 7. I did triple boot windows 10, Ubuntu and mac os with i7 4790k, clocked at 5ghz on air. 16gb corsair dominator platinum and a gigabyte z97 black edition mobo. Amd r9 390x 8gb gpu. Had no problems until one (couple of years later) day my drive became invisible and wouldn't boot, but I think I got hacked and system 32 deleted or something. Some dodgy VST plugin for a DAW. Console gamers were wetting their pants seeing the draw distance and graphic detail on things like gta5. Another benefit of pc. Gaming xbox app and PlayStation games too. Why buy a console, 3 years later need to spend 500 on new one 100 on 2nd control. 100+ per game etc. P.c master race gets new gpu and carries on like nothing happened.
Just DAW through, the coins I’m into aren’t securities so I’ve no concern beyond being too broke to buy as much as I’d like next month
Depending on how mobile you need to be, an ITX build might be an option to consider. I built one in 2020 to use as a portable DAW/DJ box and love it. Not as convenient as a laptop, but a lot cheaper and way more convenient than crates of vinyl and turntables.
