But what ATH are you referring to? BTC to gold, BTC to USD, BTC to KSH,...? In the end 1 BTC equals 1 BTC.

Hi everyone, this is our company and project. u/KAX1107 appreciate the attention. [Here's our thesis on why bitcoin is the missing key to rural energy in Africa](https://africansignals.substack.com/p/21st-century-villages). We started in Kenya because we know it well, we're from here, have built a lot of software, hardware, and infrastructure in-country. Plus there is a lot of amazing renewable energy available. Besides the great hydro in certain areas, we have some amazing wind and solar, plus top-notch geothermal. What most people don't realize about mini-grid power in Kenya is this: rural Kenyans have less disposable income than urban Kenyans. Yet the pricing looks like this: * In Nairobi we pay about 23 KSH (19c) per kWh. * In this rural community they pay 35 KSH (29c) per kWh. * This lowers to about 25 KSH (20c) per kWh - so almost the same as the big city Nairobi. * In other parts of rural Kenya, where there is no hydro so mini-grids need to be solar, the community is charged up to 95 KSH (78c) per kWh. What we need to do is figure out how to get this demand-leveling, buyer of last resort technology even further into the rural areas and make it work on solar and wind as well as hydro. At Gridless, we're focusing on smaller scale hydro for now, all sites are under 1MW at the moment. Our plans are to grow outside of Kenya into a couple of the neighboring countries and to continue to scale horizontally through smaller sites rather than large vertical scale sites. Hope that helps give some context to the images - and I can assure you this is a very real thing!
