Have you ever considered joining MENSA?
I’m a bit late, but $9. My first job as a teen was a lot boy at a dealership, and I’d already been there for about 2 years at this point when a new hire came in. He spoke eloquently, had long red hair and a very long red beard. He was only 18 with a massive beard haha, anyways, one day when we were done washing all the cars at the stall for the time being, we chatted about hobbies. I asked what he did in his spare time, and he replied “I’ve been saving money to mine something called Bitcoin”. I was familiar with BTC by then through the Silk Road but never actually dabbled myself nor understood it whatsoever. He actually explained it decently, and said he’d had already raised 5k to buy computers and software to mine BTC. I thought the dude was off his rocker and completely wasting money and time but I guess he was onto something after all. It was hard to take him serious because he would always call himself a literal genius, totally unironically. Claimed he had a IQ of 135 and MENSA was constantly trying to recruit him.. (whatever that means)..my eyes practically rolled out of my head. But, maybe I misjudged who knows. I never bought in because the only thing that made BTC relevant at that time was online black market trading, too risky for my cup of tea. I often wonder if he really was mining at that time, and where’s he’s at now.
This place was not MENSA before but the average IQ definitely dropped by about 50% over the last 72 hours. We’re sitting right above doorknob levels right now.
The clickbait title sounds like some MENSA ad for people who aren't smart enough to realise that MENSA is an organisation that makes lots of subscription money off apparently smart people with no common sense that like to show off a membership to MENSA...
