It's a shame 90% of these replies are just crypto-bro inside jokes and virtual high-fiving, as opposed to any kind of believable "bad take." For my part I say tell him you think NFTs will make a comeback. Perhaps say the post-2021 crash of NFTs was caused by a FUD campaign by "meatspace" artists working in cooperation with the MPAA and RIAA. If he asks you what the hell the RIAA and MPAA have to do with it, tell him they're anti-NFT because NFTs allow you to own and trade digital assets, and the legacy media don't want you to be able to own digital assets at all, just to rent them. It's a pretty stupid take but believable enough he'll be scratching his head.
