> Yea, because people in here are hyperbolically posting things like "the trust is dead" and "the existence of a backdoor means the entire premise is broken". It's true though, the Nano X was meant to be a a device where the seed nor the private key ever leaves. Just because one SKU of Ledger doesn't do it doesn't absolve them from misrepresenting the other devices.

What's the point in using any Ledger device now? Since the CTO said you don't have to update the firmware.. but the user still HAS to update the firmware for other blockchain updates/patches(apart from their backdoor). So you've essentially just destroyed one of your SKU's. And you've also alienated all the other products. Who's to say that the firmware also doesn't report back to a central server the serial numbers of the device. If Ledger were truly malicious it wouldn't be too hard to do that, and then just 'KYC' your ID from y our online ecom order. No need for the user to 'opt in' for their KYC LOLLL RIP LEDGER

They’ve integrated GPT3 into a new SKU of Teams, and plan on integrating it into the broader Office suite. Assuming that was the news.

I wouldn't recommend buying from Amazon, for example, even though they are an authorized reseller. What happens is all sellers selling items with identical SKU's have their merchandise thrown in the same bin. A malicious person might alter a hardware wallet, then send it to Amazon for sale; their altered devices, seeming identical in packaging and SKU to those of other sellers, are mingled in with the merchandise being sold by the others. When someone purchases a wallet, a random one is grabbed from the bin, and the selected seller is credited with the sale. Or so I'm told.

Yes but Bitcoin isn't controlled by the government. The digital dollar can be controlled infinitely compared to Bitcoin. One example is that they can see exactly what you are purchasing due to SKU codes. Bitcoin does not have that problem, yes the ledger is transparent but nobody can see what you are purchasing.

Correct mate, considering every product now comes with a SKU number, the digital dollar can track exactly what you are purchasing rather than how much you are taking out of your bank. Yet politicians say we live in a democracy 🤦🏻 it's gonna be no different to China except they'll keep sprouting nonsense about threats to people's "freedom"

Info on blockchain will be technically public, but this data can be meshed into local databases if additional protected information needs to be paired together. This data management system will allow us to integrate with our partners more quickly and cheaply, and allows other third-parties like dealerships or mechanics to review maintenance history as well as update maintenance performed (once validated of course) wherever a client chooses to solicit service. This also makes recalls much more transparent and manageable, as each SKU making up a product can be traced back to the supplier using the blockchain. Using a traditional database can work, but it costs more, takes more time, and certain enhancements or functions can only be appropriately applied through blockchain tech.

Keplr is just a wallet. It had native support for the blockchains made on the cosmos SKU which includes cro, atom, luna etc. And you can stake there with probably the best rates since you can choose your validator and there is no middle man like an exchange taking a cute in between you and the validator.

Normal and normal, but there are implementations to secure vaccine authenticity (avoiding salt water scandals such as the one in India) in use today. Unbroken Cold Chain projects are near Go Live to track that medicines and more regular produce relying on temperature throughout the distribution chain are still “good” at final point delivery. NFT tech is being used to validate that individual items of a common SKU are tracked in fighting forgery, i e imagine a new Gucci bag sold at ridiculous prices. Obviously a target for counterfeiting, so once off the shelf each bag becomes an NFT with full pedigree. Arrive the counterfeit on the market. No one will validate, hence wortless. And so on and so on.

Correct. It’s just an accounting method. We do it all the time. As a seller if visa charges me 2% on transactions I can do a few things. I can charge lightning and cash buyers less I can mark up material and labor so all buyers pay it. I can go negative and start preparing bankruptcy paperwork. Kinda depends on the PoS system being used also. It may be too costly for some to modernize and their system may only be able to handle a single cost per SKU making it difficult to have two pricing structures.

Fun games - Fair gambling - NFT supremacy (used for everything from inventory, to titles and deeds or other paperwork, to in-game skins) Decentralized Shopping (Think of how you shop on Amazon, but you would buy an nft, the "LA Z BOY #1111" nft that you bought is capable of being traded for 1 SKU of LA Z BOY recliner. Auction site like ebay where you can sell stuff for crypto directly Smart Contracts that can be negotiated between 2 parties without requiring a team of lawyers to arbitrate (fair gambling can be tied into this one) As much as people don't want it, CBDCs. And what better way to test a CBDC than with a trail of Universal Basic Income? Middleman exchanges. Make trading assets between different blockchains without having to download 10 apps and use 15 different sites with 20 different seed phrases to remember. I could go on, but I'd rather not go too far into dreamland right now.
