My ASUS TUF laptop suffered damage after using a well-known mining website. Unfortunately, these days it seems that the quality of laptops is not as good as it once was in the past.
Is it an Asus TUF? During the GPU stock problems, the gaming laptops were considered an alternative for mining crypto at home, since they were the only high-GPU available hardware at the market.
These are my specs: Intel Core i9 12900KF (3.2GHz) 64GB DDR4-3600 RAM NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 12gb Vram Graphics Card 1TB SSD ASUS TUF GAMING Z690 MOBO Western Digital 2tb Gen4 SSD I have fan management on there too since I can’t stand having all the fans constantly ramp up and at high volumes. It can’t even handle playing videos smooth, forget about something simple like youtube in Microsoft Edge. Something as simple as web browsing and listening to music? Audio crackling all the time. I may do what you said ,back it all up, maybe give windows 10 a try. Besides 3d and scripts I run for AI, this hasn’t been a killer update from my 2014 Imac. I thought photoshop, after effects, etc would be running incredible..and.. it’s meh. Photoshop lags a lot too.
