We had ALAC, CHPM, ZGYH, BTAQ last 12 months. Any others? I'm trying to keep a list going.
CHPM and CHPMW are no longer trading. The [units](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1785041/000135445722000249/xslF25X02/primary_doc.xml), [common stock](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1785041/000135445722000248/xslF25X02/primary_doc.xml) and the [warrants](https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1785041/000135445722000250/xslF25X02/primary_doc.xml) were delisted at the end of the day Friday. Same thing will most likely occur to ALAC ALACR ALACW end of day today.
after my CHPM warrants died last week (RIP, still love the company, wish I knew why they cancelled), you'd think I'd have learned, but I'm still holding my 500 dune warrants on the offhanded they somehow DO merge (very unlikely if the lawsuit is anything to go by)
Agreed, *so far* there haven't been that many liquidations. Remains to be seen how that will progress in the next 18 months. ACEV was one of the definitive agreements that was terminated, now they are voting on the Tempo deal on May 5. And Spring Valley (SV) terminated the deal with AeroFarms, now it looks like the new deal with NuScale will probably be approved and close in the next two weeks. Yunhong (ZGYH) was the only one liquidated in 2021, and so far Burgundy Technology (BTAQ) is the only one for 2022, although CHP Merger Corp (CHPM) will probably Liquidate on April 25 and Alberton Acquisition (ALAC) may liquidate on April 26. SCVX is on life support ( and the Pink Sheets ) and looks like it may be forced to liquidate as well.
Well looking at ALAC warrants doing 500% today...i guess I'll be trying the new game. In on more CHPM warrants at 1 cent. This one actually technically could find another target right? I mean if they decided to change their mind... The SPAC deadline isn't actually this month is it? I'm seeing late May on spactrack
yup, which is why I just bought a bunch of CHPM warrants for a penny to see if I can flip them over the next week for 4-5 cents.
So...CHPM is dissolving. ZGYH dissolved. What else dissolved in the last 2 years? I know there was at least one more.
Oh fuck, I didn't check on Friday since the market was closed and completely missed that CHPM merger was cancelled and dissolving I have 2K warrants, now worthless. My biggest single loss yet. Fucking hell.
Rip CHPM w gamblers https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2022/04/15/2423382/0/en/Accelus-and-CHP-Merger-Corp-Mutually-Agree-To-Terminate-Business-Combination.html?f=22&fvtc=5&fvtv=46464047
CHPM deal not going to happen unless target waives min cash. Trading like garbage because the deal is garbage.
PPGH. And for warrants maybe CHPM at .15
The last few deals I ran into were all right around the deadline, so take that as you will. ACKIT, CHPM etc.
Yep. Even if they get a DA it’s probably gonna be garbage. Looking at BWAC and CHPM.
This was my reasoning when I sold all the warrants in my Roth and bought TQQQ instead. I believe the NASDAQ will hit an ATH before pre-da warrants recover. Post-DA will be anyone's guess. PRPB-WS is holding up nicely, still over a dollar. But the same cannot be said about OACB-w, OCA-w, CRHC-w, BWAC-w, CHPM-w, or DUNE-W. I'm not a bear either, but most of my taxable account has NAV protection now.
lots of SPACs beat cash. Look at something like CHPM. Sponsors are chipping in 3.3 cents per month into the trust, so if you just hold the thing, it is going to keep going up. Just remember to sell/redeem before the sponsor is fully done.
CHPM was going to happen until the sponsor agreed to chip in 3.3 cents per month until the merger if people would stop redeeming. Must have been some epic redemptons. On that note, MLAC is down to like 4 million shares after their extension related redemption (AKA floor is intact). The issue is that you also need this sub to go nuts for something, which is much harder.
CHPM warrants dropped. Deadline to extend meeting was today but was adjourned. Not enough votes I'm guessing?
>CHPM had a redemption deadline 2 days ago That's impossible, the DA was one week ago. The redemption deadline is usually two days before the merger vote. And the IPO was relatively large to begin with, at 30M shares.
CHPM had a redemption deadline 2 days ago, and it was trading below the redemption price the whole time. Best part is that the floor is still intact, because the redemption window opened because the sponsor needed an extension to close on a deal that by the looks of it no one wants.
Yessir, saw that yesterday and commented on /u/SenorDiablo post today on CPUH\_W movements. I am hoping something is up here... 10-Q delay, plus increased trade activity past 2 days & we had CHPM's DA yesterday with Integrity Implants (in the same sector). Maybe coincidence or just weird timing.
IMO CPUH has much more retail interest than CHPM
Maybe sympathy buying due to the smaller scale DA from CHPM this morning? Not much of a pop there, but similar sector...
$CHPM DA - Accelus, an Emerging Leader in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, and CHP Merger Corp. Announce Proposed Business
Anyone following CHPM? CHP Merger Corp, targeting healthcare. Trust size $300 MM with an IPO date of 11-21-2019. Expires 11-20-21 according to Spactrack. Will this be our first SPAC in a long time to terminate without finding a target?
CHPM have a LOI (not a DA) most likely with Accelus
Not sure if this was mentioned already but it looks like CHPM finally has a LOI with some undisclosed med tech company.
ASAQ had a little movement today despite the rumour being underwhelming imo. CHPM moved quite a bit for only having an LOI with an anonymous company and not seeing any news coverage. Guess I'm holding both of these for official DA. Only looking at warrants.
It’s a good strategy. Worst case scenario you get something like CHPM that takes over 2 years to find a target. Look for a premium sponsor and you’ll probably be ok.
Looks like CHPM finally found a merger partner. They were coming to the end of their original timeline so they shouldn’t need too much of an extension if at all.
Anyone else in CHPM? Getting concerned with deadline coming up next month? I guess they can always extend, just a bit frustrating that they haven't been able to seal the deal after 2 years...
If GFX or CHPM DA today, I'll show you guys my jackson hole.
> > > BWAC and CHPM are very risky… but if they get a DA, a 50-100% pop wouldn’t be surprising. > That would barely erase the losses from the last 2 weeks, not exactly what people are hoping for.
Still bagholding some CHPM warrants and I'm just a tiny bit worried. Just a bit. November is plenty of time... right?
CHPM: deadline in November. Increased cash burn in Q2. Watching closely because I don’t think it’ll find a target. KAHC: KKR, $1.3B in trust. Interested but I won’t sell my other holdings for this one unless I get a DA. OCA: Post-DA with interesting insurance company. They had AMA here not long ago.
> CHPM, KAHC and OCA I'll have to do more research on these 3. Admittedly not familiar with them.
I’m closely watching SRNG, BWAC, CHPM, KAHC and OCA. Holding CRHC, EQD, GPAC. But mostly just watching and praying I don’t lose 40% in a week.
#CHPM #1st Quarter G&A: $290,977 ; Accrued Expenses: $364,395 #2nd Quarter G&A: $606,535 ; Accrued Expenses: $776,629
GFX BWAC OACB CHPM I summon thee! Show us your big, juicy DAs.
$CHPM, which I had called the most underwhelming SPAC, filed their 10-Q….. …. for the first quarter
$CHPM is the most underwhelming SPAC I’ve seen. Deadline is in 3 months and has zero rumors. $300m in trust. 10-Q just dropped and i didn’t see anything interesting at all. Bearish.
In two weeks we should have new quarterly reports to look at. Really curious about CHPM since its deadline is in November and it hasn’t even published its Q1 report. Also curious about BWAC, deadline is also November.
OACB? CHPM? BWAC? I know the feeling.
$CHPM Deadline is November 26, 2021. No DA or rumors. Gonna be interesting to see what unfolds.
CHPM Warrants volume today is 900k but price hasn’t moved.
Also adding CHPM trading at .89. Over 80% of this spac’s life is over Concord Health Partners (sponsor) has a very nice portfolio of private health/biotech companies that could go public thru this spac. Joseph Swedish (CHPM chairman) was Executive Chairman and CEO of Anthem. ANTM share price quadrupled during his tenure.
Alright. BWAC CHPM ASAQ KRNL. Book it.
Thanks for the CHPM warrant tip the other day 👍🏼
I’m referring to pre-DA SPACs that never find a target company to merge with. For example, CHPM is the oldest SPAC currently without a DA. If they do not find a target by 11/20/2021, the warrants become worthless. This is a risk associated with warrants.
Sorry its CHPM, mixed it up: https://spactrack.net/activespacs/
Every healthcare or bio DA makes me hate the CHPM team a little more. So slow, so quiet. Khosla works fast.
I like all my positions but I'm starting to worry about CHPM warrants. It IPO'd in 2019 and has until November. I like the management team and they filed a sequel spac, but that's a long time for a deal and I always worry about warrants going worthless. Opened BWAC, GFX, COOL yesterday. Added more CND. Thank you LEGO and PACX.
Nice hit! I have had orders in for CND, ASAQ, PAQC, BWAC and COOL for quite some time. I’ll have to check out CHPM since we’re on the same page on targets. Hopefully I get them and you keep your hot streak rolling, congrats on the $$$
CHPM and CND. I'm going to roll my lego and pacx money into ASAQ PAQC COOL. Possibly BWAC.
Cmon SPAC gods, just a single DA for one of my positions this week. I have a good feeling. LEGO CHPM ASAQ PACX, in order of size.
Don’t sleep on CHPM... news coming soon
Anyone in CHPM? Picked this up because I wanted a couple of healthcare SPACs and had no idea what to pick - so I decided to let the hedge funds do the picking for me. Apparently this one has high hedge fund ownership. Also picked up CPUH because of Saudi PIF ownership.
Thoughts on CHPM? I'm in and thinking of going deeper based on deadlines.
Anyone in CHPM? They IPOed 11/19 so wondering if we may be close to something. Warrants are under $2 but haven't heard any rumors.
CHAQ, CONX, JYAC, VHAQ, CHPM
