I listened to the ATC audio... Weather related... Don't listen though, it's absolute terror in the pilots voice, i wish i hadn't.

Holy fuck the ATC from that Lear jet crash is NSFL.

I don’t think people would fly so much as autopilot and adjust of things go wrong. Real issue is traffic control. Even if you added “On-ramops” to takeoff/merge into air traffic, Human ATC would be overwhelmed at current staffing levels. I could see a fully computer controlled system being used, but would be expensive, have to fail safely, and resilient against cyberattacks. My Waymo still randomly comes to hard stop in moving traffic, so 100% agree with assessment.

Absolutely will not work. The reason Ragan was able to get away with I is that he replaced all ATC with ATC from the military as the stop gap. Can't do that with rail workers. Not a chance

Never let s crisis go to waste. Congress will stall any actions on this upcoming rail worker strike until after midterms when they will force the workers to take PEB recommendations. Half of the workers will say fuck it and start a wildcat strike. Biden will pull a regan and fire them and railway stocks will plummet until the military can help pick up the load like what happened with the ATC.

I don't want to make this a political thing, I'm just interested in the economic perspective, but there seem to be a lot of unionizing/worker's protests bubbling up: Current: - Amazon unionization drive (JFK8, LDJ5 in NYC voted in favor of unionization on 1 April, 2 May, 2020 respectively; BHM1 in Bessemer, Alabama voted against unionization in a re-vote election in March 2022). - Starbucks unionization drive (the first unionized Starbucks location voted in favor of unionization in late 2021, and now there are over 100 unionized locations across the US) - Last week, in South Korea, you had a union-led strike which ultimately led to government concessions over minimum pay guarantees - This week, you have unionized railway workers striking in the UK and unionized Southwest pilots striking in the US for better pay. Tomorrow and Sunday, you'll have ATC workers striking in the south of France. - There are various planned strikes in the future, including union employees of British Airways at Heathrow International Airport planning to strike over the Summer holiday busy period and union railway workers in France planning to strike on 6 June. This seems... like a lot.

It's more about the engineering style of the time in which the nukes were all built. Today cooling towers are generally I think called ATC's and they're like flat. It just depends on where you're at cuz it's a lot about what the local weather is like.

1st quotes NY Times in an article that is as the second acknowledges, generally liberal. As to the breaking of the back of the NLRB, I'll never support that, the ATC is still a valued union & I liken this to the yellow vest protests of France.

\>what the hell are average Americans going to do when the dollar is more useless day-by-day? when countries have less faith in the US dollar, resulting in average Americans having less faith in the dollar? That's where I lost you. The opposite is actually happening. The dollar is strengthening. What that is doing is help to lower costs for the US compared to other countries where costs are rising even faster. Yes, it sucks if you have low income and are filling up you car or buying food, but there are still options out there to make very good money. Look at the ATC post, if you aren't dumb and are willing to apply yourself you can be at a 6 figure income in a couple years. If you look at the world events since Covid, the US (despite it's many internal issues) has actually done insanely well when compared with any other major economies. \#1 let's talk about China. Look at what is going on right now in their housing markets and export driven economy. They are melting down. They are doing permanent damage to their export led economy as companies shift production to places like Vietnam, Taiwan ect due to Tariffs and now undetectable covid lockdowns. Without exports China implodes. \#2 Our ~~buddies~~ bitches over in Europe. Now they are more reliant than ever on US tech/innovation. Since Russia attacked them they are also now more reliant on the US defense industry and are markedly upping their contributions to Nato spending. Ukraine is beating Russia at war, simply because the US is giving them advanced weaponry and intelligence. Having things like US built suicide attack drones that can work anywhere in the world, thanks to a us built and launched constellation of satellites is a massive shift in warfare. Obviously now Europe is also now even more reliant on US exports of energy and particularly LNG as they cut ties with Russia. It seems highly likely to me that Ukraine will prevail in this conflict, simply because the western arms, logistics, resources and intelligence are far better than those from Russia. When they do, Ukraine will be rebuilt by us companies and will be thrust into being a fairly prosperous, democratic, strongly US-aligned partner. Ukraine produces tons of food. Imagine how prosperous Ukraine could be using US loans to build super modern effective infrastructure, using modern US farming equipment. \#3 Russia. They basically killed themselves by invading. Their exports of military equipment are going to near 0. Their trading partners are taking more and more advantage of them to extract commodities at a discount. Their culture of corruption is exposing just a shell of a country. It is quite likely that at this point the only way sanctions will be lifted is regime change. It sounds absolutely bonkers but there is actually a possibility of seeing a much more westernized democratic Russia in the next few years. Yes I know there are some huge cultural issues but what comes after Putin? It's a real possibility. The other possibility is Putin lives on and Russia slowly becomes a sort of North Korea type really poor backwards country. Either one of these outcomes would be super inconvenient for China. Like massively so. They would feel significant increasing pressure to bend to western influence. If companies are pulling out of Russia because they are killing people, it's not super wise to be committing active genocide when your economy relies on exporting shit to western nations. Oh and these western nations will sell you effective Covid vaccines at a fair price so you don't have to keep doing lockdowns while the rest of the world is partying like covid is over? Hmmm pressure is building to bend the knee.... What all this means is that while we are definitely experiencing some economic challenges, we are actually really well positioned as a country. Living in the US, owning US equities, working for a US company ect are all still really good strategies from a fundamental level. Your retirement account might not look like it did in 2021, but you will still be able to afford things like food, rent, transportation, ect even if you might have to be a bit more frugal.

NJ CRC email update: Last Thursday, the first day of adult-use sales in New Jersey, the state’s 12 participating dispensaries sold cannabis and cannabis products to 12,438 recreational cannabis customers for a total gross sale of nearly $1.9 million. Sales of medicinal cannabis products have also been strong over the last 30 days with approximately 64,000 ounces of products dispensed to patients and their caregivers. On April 20 – the day before adult-use sales began – ATCs dispensed 5,400 ounces of medicinal cannabis and cannabis products across New Jersey. In the five days following the beginning of adult-use sales an additional 7,500 ounces were dispensed to patients. “We expected sales to be substantial and the data shows that the market is effectively serving both adult-use consumers and patients,” said Jeff Brown, executive director of the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission. “We continue to monitor inventory and access for patients and are prepared to take enforcement action against any ATC that does not meet the requirements for patient access and supply.” While lines have been steady at all the dispensaries, there has not been any substantiated reports of supply problems for medicinal cannabis patients. The NJ-CRC continues to monitor and respond to complaints to ensure patients have adequate supply and access. The New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission establishes and enforces the rules and regulations governing the licensing, cultivation, testing, selling, and purchasing of cannabis in the state.

I’m just scared the commission will drag its feet with the final inspections to commence sales. You could tell during the meeting that at least 2 of the commissioners were unhappy with granting access. The Chairwoman abstained from every vote, I’m sure that was her way of protesting and 1-commissioner voted no for Terrascend I believe for not commiting to some labor protections. As a citizen of New Jersey you voted for legal Rec cannabis nearly 2 years ago I am very in-impressed with this commission. No market launch is ever perfect but they have insisted at every turn to move the goal posts and delaying sales, you will always have errors with launches but they work themselves out over time. The final straw for me was when they began demanding all the ATC make a psedu-0pledge to be union friendly and it’s like dude you are a state body and they are a private company if the workers wanna unionize and the company wants to engage with them that’s their business not the states to mandate. After that I called up my state rep/assemblyman and complained And it looks like a lot of other people did as well after the last meeting. I’m sure the commission and all the chairs got a call from the state assembly essentially reminding them they are government employees and while they can’t be fired easily they can be easily removed and put in a back room somewhere with no window. Hopefully they get their act together and have the final inspections ASAP

Bro I am a poor man. I just made trades I thought were good. Lots of DD. My single best trade was riding OZSC from 0.015 to 0.50. There were others too. I caught RHE on the halt up two separate times, ATC on the halt up from $5-$41 (sold at 14 though). The covid stocks before a vaccine actually was figured out (the smaller companies like BNGO, not Pfizer or Moderna), crypto miners like Mara and riot (my favorite one of those was buying HUT under $1). Etc

I believe CGC will divest their Terrascend stake sooner rather than later (I actually think Cresco will buy this piece) for $300-$500 million and acquire the rest over time through additional Cash or stock. In NJ a business entity can only have an ownership stake of greater than 10% in (1) Cannabis license especially the original vertical ATC licenses, if CGC decides to go through with their acquisition of Acreage they will have to divest Terrascends NJ assets anyway, which is arguable the most valuable piece of the company The capital infusion is good for CGC to fund incremental M&A, and capital improvements for Acreage. They are by no means cash starved but in this market cash is king and CGC has an extremely high burn rate. In regards to Cookies I thought I read somewhere a while ago that CGC was originally in-line to buy the entire Cookies brand but STZ board shut it down, this can just be hearsay but I think this would generate some bad blood.

They don’t want these licenses they are super limiting non-vertical. Most MSO are in the state already with vertical ATC. The only top tier MSOs not in state are Cresco/Trulieve and I think at least 1 of them is gonna announce a deal soon for a vertical ATC

Mentions:#ATC
•r/weedstocksSee Comment

Honestly I think their equity stake in Terrascend is next. It’s easily worth $300MM And with CGCs deal in place to acquire acreage they would need to sells Terrascends NJ license (can’t own more than 1 ATC license) anyway, if they wanted to ever fully buy Terrascend. They can easily spin the divestment as well as saying well we got the stake for like $50M and we are selling it for $300MM we are so smart

Mentions:#ATC
•r/weedstocksSee Comment

Additionally they have to serve medical only market for 1-year before being allowed to sell recreational All the MSOs who hold the vertical ATC licenses are going to run the tables in Jersey year 1

Mentions:#ATC
•r/weedstocksSee Comment

Depends on when and what the situation is at the time. I still think they can keep the ship afloat for another year with making any moves for $. My thoughts are if they are at the point they need to raise cash from equity they really won’t get a good deal. Additionally when legalization happens CGC and if they will decide to acquire total Terrascend (on top of already buying acreage) they will have to sell Terrascends arguably most valuable assets their NJ license b/c NJ only allows 1-ATC license per company. And if CGC want to buy Terrascend it would prob cost them 3-4$B by that time ($$$ they don’t have). Alternatively they could sell they 15% stake (post Terrascend/GAGE merger) for easily $300M and use that $ to actually build out acreage into something of a hopefully respectable company (but prob not because acreage sucks donkey balls)

That’s specific to the ATC industry however. Their demand is inelastic, the government also has a large pool of involuntary scabs by using the military ATC. A strike can be devastating to a companies bottom line if timed and executed properly, not exactly toothless.

Something else is going on with $LUV, and it’s fishy. I don’t buy weather or ATC issues when other airlines weren’t affected, I’m also not sure I buy that a company with a 90%+ vax rate was crippled by a mandate walkout.
