Try all world ETF stocks like VT or it's ucits equivalent if youre in Europe. If you want to get cute you can add region/sector specific ETFs to specifically over or underweight certain regions/sectors. For example I am invested in 60% VT, 10% vwo, 10% vpl and a 20% home bias ETF of chspi. If you want to overweigh Europe more you could also add vgk instead of chspi. Alternatively if you think straight up market tracking is too volatile you could do some factor based ETFs such as SCHD/SCHY or DNL/DGRW. However it's always a toss up if factors can really beat the market, especially as the diversification is a lot lower on those. At the end of the day as long as you are invested in a diversified portfolio instead of single stocks and keep the money there for at least 10-15 years you'll do good enough.

There’s nothing wrong with dividends per se, but the funds you cite are specialty vehicles that essentially use options to convert capital appreciation into income. They’re targeted mostly at investors who prioritize current income. For conservative investing with dividend paying stocks, look to true dividend funds like DTD, SCHD, DNL, VYMI, etc. You will have more tax drag as you accumulate than with low dividend stocks, but if your long term objective is dividend income you could avoid taxes later when you try to convert a growth stock portfolio to an income portfolio.

It’s a good fund. I have its exUS counterpart, DNL. The important question though with any prospective portfolio addition is how it fits with what you already have. Is it filling a gap that other investments leave? Or is it duplicating or overlapping something I already have plenty of? I try to focus on my portfolio as a whole … a good investment portfolio is more than just a collection of good performing assets … how they work together determines how much risk you’re taking in pursuit of those returns.

It's hard to have an edge holding too many stocks. I find that analysts have at most 5-10 good ideas. If you have substantially more than that, do a forced ranking of your stocks and sell everything outside your top 10. Depending on your risk tolerance, you can either concentrate the proceeds in your top 10, or diversify into an ETF. If your individual holdings are mostly US, consider the VXUS ETF, which is international. I like DNL personally, which has a quality growth tilt.

If you dont mind the fee DNL and IHDG for international ex US, outperform most other dividend international etfs.

If I had more to spend, I'd buy more into CFMS / DNL (DNN) / HITI
