Tankers are down today on news of possible peace deal (again) that will not pan out (again). FRO, ECO, DHT, NMM are some good names
Ive been full ported in ECO for a year lol.
New ATH for ECO today, my single biggest holding. Tankers continue to print cash with no end in sight and while q3 earnings will be glorious, q4 is shaping up to be mindblowing
now compare that to a stock that's holding up well like $ECO. This is what I want to see. https://preview.redd.it/wu8d1ee267xh1.png?width=2240&format=png&auto=webp&s=6198274ddaf35e95beaa3766d6ff0509a39a7734
RKLB at $51 seems like a good longterm hold. Tanker equities are on sale, many down 10% from earlier this week (INSW, ECO, FRO, DHT). Q3 and Q4 earnings and the accompanying dividends are going to be mindbending in a few weeks time
Okeanis Eco Tankers Corp. (ECO) touched 100 usd today its up 200 % YTD

I like its strong profitability, improving leverage, and substantial dividend distributions, but tanker-rate cyclicality, dilution, and the massive recent rally leave insufficient reward-to-risk for a higher grade.
They are all favorites as long as they don't violate their individual stop losses.. I own both TKG and ECO by the way.. Tankers are rocking right now
Nice! I like shopping there too. People are afraid to buy at 52w highs or ATHs, but I see opportunity there. The stock is making new highs precisely because the company is doing well. Buy into that, but don't get married to it. When the price stops going up, find something else. What are you favorite 2 or 3 stocks right now? Mine are TXG and ECO.
Every single tanker stock, but especially companies with lots of VLCCs (I'm holding FRO, ECO, TEN, DHT, INSW). They all estimated Q3 earnings would be lower than Q2 because they reported around June/July when the outlook was uncertain for tankers. Check out how BWET has done since then and you'll have an idea how insanely low their q3 forward guidance has been. The best part? Most of these are converting almost all of their EPS into dividends :) ECO has a dividend yield of 25% right now, it was more than 30% after q2 earnings. Other than that, many energy equities are also sitting on huge q3 gains that are being underestimated imo (CVE, SU, literally every refinery equity).
It's definitely a solid company, I'm holding it too and I expect more upside, but I've been unimpressed so far tbh. Pure tanker plays like FRO and ECO have been performing much better and have insanely high dividends and I'm a bit more bullish on SHIP in terms of pure drybulk plays too.
I don't think it is personally. Tanker rates continue grinding higher day after day with no real end in sight due to the reasons I listed above and more honestly, people have described this as the perfect storm for tankers with so many things coming together simultaneously. ECO is up 156% ytd, but its earnings are up way more than that. In 2025 it brought in $391m in revenue and $183m in gross profit ($3.77 EPS). In H1 2026 (keep in mind the war started Feb 28 so at the end of q1) it brought in $489m in revenue and $318m in gross profit ($8.21 EPS). Q3 earnings is going to be absolutely mindblowing, I've literally never been more bullish on anything than I am on tankers right now
Tankers in general amd ECO and FRO in particular are currently on sale. Might drop a bit further from here, but this is a cooling off period after a huge run (ECO is still up ~28% in the last month). But the factors supporting tanker rates remain true, with no real end in sight (inefficiencies from so many closed chokepoints, countries desperate for oil shipments at any price, aging fleet, years before significant numbers of new ships are delivered, daily attacks on tanker fleet, etc)
I've been focusing on FCF. Done pretty well this year so far because of it, and many of the equities I'm holding remain quite undervalued so I expect more upside ahead. So many people are just straight up missing what's happening in the shipping industry in general, and tanker industry in particular. Companies like FRO and ECO are literally printing cash and returning it to shareholders, all while paying down debt. And they lowballed the hell out of q3 earnings, the blowout ERs are going to be glorious in a few months
Somebody posted on here about $ECO last December and I just want to say thank you regard 🙏🏼
$STNG, $TNK, $ECO, $FRO, $DHT might be time
I wish I found shipping earlier, but I went into tankers in mid June and it's been a huge fucking boon for my portfolio. Also bought some dry bulk shipping companies that have also done well, but FRO and ECO are my biggest holdings. Crazy how many people are sleeping on shipping during its biggest bull run ever
If y’all are not looking at EHLT, BWET, ECO, and EDRY, then what are y’all really doing?
I've got strong bets on: * PBR (Brazilian consolidated oil major still off its 52 week highs with a pe of 6.5 and 7% dividend yield) * SU (undervalued IMO, makes big money on refining and sitting on a mountain of sulphur right now) * CVE (similar to above, undervalued Canadian major) * WCPRF (Canadian oil producer, insanely profitable at current oil prices) * OBE (same as above) * EQNR (Norwegian oil and natgas producer, one of the only refineries and natgas producers with fields/infrastructure in Europe itself will make bank this fall and winter) * TTE (French major with broad energy portfolio including oil, refining, natgas, solar, wind and more, still below its 52 week highs with solid dividends and low pe) * FRO (tanker stock making absurd amounts of money right now and delivering fat dividends, $2.61 per share payment goes out next week) * ECO (same as FRO, insanely profitable tanker distributing those profits to shareholders with a ***$5.25*** dividend delivered last month, has a 29% yield right now AND is up 150% over the past year) * FSLR (industrial level solar manufacturer with production in US, PE of ~13, no debt, high growth, held back by the shittiness of the solar industry as a whole)
BWET is tied to tanker rates. While I dont see them going down anytime soon (far from it, I expect them to remain elevated for some time) I don't expect them to continue rising forever. While I dont expect BWET to collapse, I also think there's far more downside risk than upside potential at the current price. As for individual tanker stocks, its hard to go wrong. I'm currently holding ECO, FRO, TEN, NAT, and DHT. They each have their own nuances (some are solely focused on VLCCs, some have exposure to smaller ships and/or product tankers, some have fully modernized fleets, others less so, etc). If I had to pick one though, it would probably be ECO. They're directly involved in the Southern Oman shipping lane shadow transits, which is earning them gobs of cash right now which they're returning to shareholders
Not sure if anyone here is paying attention to it, but tanker stocks are going absolutely ham. Most are up ~100% ytd AND dropping massive dividends on shareholders. For example, ECO just issued a special dividend of $5.25 a share, and this is a company whose shares trade around $60 right now. They're still doing dividends in September and December too
ECO get those tendies and thank me later
ECO Ex-Dividend Date August 14, 2026 Payment Amount 5.25
OKEANIS ECO TANKERS CORP ECO free $525 per 100
ECO has a $5.25 div per share, not passing that up
Todays play was to buy DUK, HSY, ECO, and UPS as its ex div date, bought some cheap now they printing, sell later and still collect those juicy divs
Okeanis Eco Tankers Corp (ECO) pays a $5.25 dividend... exdiv date today... yes please
ECO is definitely in a league all of it's own, their fixtures are out of this world good.
Most investors try to speculate where rates are heading, but most would've done better if they just held ECO. Insane gains when you count the dividends.
If you believe in prolonged oil shortage tanker rates are going to stay at these high levels. ECO and FRO are printing money now.
Up 120% in ECO in less than a year. Not sure what the big spike that just happened, was for.
Why are energy efficient washing machines and dish washers such a scam? Literally every single has a note saying: ^(\*Only when using ECO-mode, which takes 1 week to finish 1 cycle)
WHAT?? It went from $1.50 to 75 cents- I bought ast $1.25 and as was puking. YOU NEEDED MORE downside? IF THIS CAN PROVE ITSELF, GET IT AL:L DONE W/O MAJOR CASH NEEDS, then IT BECOMES A REAL "BIG LEAGUE COMPANY " IN a "sexy" biz, ECO friendly etcI am "buy and hold"
They've been on my screener for a while, looked at them briefly but didn't really understand the business, but ECO is a Greek shipping company. Not really ports per say, but it's something at least! [https://stockanalysis.com/stocks/eco/statistics/](https://stockanalysis.com/stocks/eco/statistics/) >Okeanis Eco Tankers Corp., a shipping company, owns and operates tanker vessels worldwide. >It operates a fleet of 16 tanker vessels comprising eight modern Suezmax tankers and eight modern VLCC tankers focusing on the transportation of crude oil. >The company was incorporated in 2018 and is based in Neo Faliro, Greece.
Credit ECO is really stupid but good for econ , a country d love to inbreed every citizens to spend like that , no?
Kinda over with Trump backing the war insurance premiums for the boats through the Strait and offering navel escorts. This is why BWET, DHT, FRO, and ECO all crashed this week.
🚢 I found an oil tanker money printer and nobody on WSB is talking about it ($ECO) 📈📈📈🛢️🛢️🛢️🚢🚢🚢 Alright listen up you financially irresponsible sea creatures. While everyone here is lighting their portfolios on fire chasing the next AI buzzword stock, there’s a company quietly doing something extremely illegal in this market: Making actual money. The company: Okeanis Eco Tankers ($ECO). What do they do? They own massive oil supertankers that move ~2 MILLION barrels of oil across the ocean per trip. That’s it. No AI. No metaverse. No buzzwords. Just giant steel boats hauling dinosaur juice around the planet for cash. And when the tanker market gets tight, these ships start printing money harder than the Fed in 2020. Here’s the part the market seems to have forgotten: 🌍 The world still runs on oil 🚢 Oil moves on tankers 🔥 Chaos in global shipping = tanker rates go nuclear And guess what we currently have? • Middle East tensions • Sanctions reshaping oil trade routes • Longer shipping distances • Limited new tanker supply Which means every time the world gets messier, tanker companies get richer. Now here’s why Okeanis is spicy: They don’t operate rust buckets. They operate modern eco-design VLCC supertankers that burn less fuel. Oil companies LOVE these because: Fuel savings = more profit. Which means these ships can command premium charter rates. And when tanker rates spike? Shipping companies go from boring to absolute cash cannons overnight. We’ve seen this cycle before: Tanker stocks in previous cycles didn’t move like normal stocks. They went 2x… 3x… sometimes 5x when rates exploded. Meanwhile the market is paying: • 40x earnings • 60x earnings • 80x earnings for companies promising AI robots will take your job in 2040. This company literally gets paid every single day its ships float. So let’s review the WSB thesis: 🛢 Oil demand still massive 🚢 Tanker supply limited 🌍 Global chaos increasing 💰 Shipping companies print money when rates spike And the best part? Almost nobody on this sub is talking about it yet. Which is exactly what this place was originally good at finding. TL;DR The world runs on oil. Oil runs on tankers. $ECO owns the tankers. If tanker rates rip, this thing could go from boring shipping stock to WSB boat gang overnight. Position: starting to load shares because I like big boats and I cannot lie. (Not financial advice. I just like big boats.)
Too bad $ECO doesn't have options.
Ive almost doubled my investnent on ECO (93% profit) that I bought less than a year ago. Just based on their 10% dividend yield at the time and no other DD, I think thats WSB certified.
$ECO for long term holding. $FRO for options. $TEN has potential, but they sold all their VLCC'S.
There is another reason to be bullish on tankers, particularly VLCC’s. One company, Sinokor, has been buying up as many VLCC tankers as they can. They are approaching a critical mass where soon they will be able to single-handedly cause a ‘Hunt bros’-like surge in VLCC rates. Any company with VLCC exposure will stand to benefit tremendously (ECO, FRO, NMM, TEN, TNK).
Dark fleet getting sunk by Ukraine and boarded by America should be bullish for compliant fleet like ECO and FRO
ECO. I'm putting my weekly "stonk" allowance into it at the moment and not even playing the fucked up game. I have full faith in the company, along with the insane dividend. That's just me but I've been in since $21, so I don't feel like I'm risking much. Worth a look if you want a stable investment.
ETFs are still so absolutely tiny compared to institutional investors like Goldman Sachs, Berkshire and the other big boys. Retail owners have 27% of all stocks, and that is including all the millionaires and billionaires https://one.oecd.org/document/ECO/WKP(2023)23/en/pdf Everyday guys like us basically don't have any impact on the wealth distribution.
As long as it's not ECO's tankers.
Been investing heavy into ECO for months, for long term/div. If I find out one of their ships are on fire, I will personally go fuck up Israel and Iran myself tomorrow.
BBG ECO: it's completely customizable (different views, add events by country, topic, date range,...), updates in real time, has alerts, notifications in advance, notifications if it's a surprise (relative to estimate), filters, and much more. It's also seamlessly integrated across the BBG ecosystem, including analyst forecast, surprise monitors, release histories with revisions, API connection....
BTMM and ECO screens? Bond trader or just an analyst pulling data? My go-tos are USSW and SWPM on two screens and my launchpad on another.
Sure but in the 20 years it takes the US to spool up raw materials. Investment capital, people willing to even bother investing, build a market...how many Americans will starve to death. You're right basic economics. But you're taking ECO 101 and this far exceeds your grasp of this situation.
Good knews for USA auto makers. They can make the current slop they making for Americans. Honestly. I'm not American, but ford cars seem so shit. I've heard nothing bad bad about ECO boost. Tesla still haven't figured out panel gaps, dodge's interior seem extremely basic (nice engines tho. Whooh those V8s are mean). I'm from europe, and don't get me wrong, I think stellantis is bottom of the barrel dogshit wrapped in catshit. WW grp makes a few nice cars, but it's Jap cars is where it's at. Honda, Mazda, Toyota are the only good car brands. Nissan used to be good, but no idea about their current lineup. Anyways, it's gonna be good for carmakers that have US manufactories.
Those are all solid investments my good sir you are obv not a cone head like the other guy in this thread lolol. I’m a big fan of leveraged efts like SPYU (4X S&P 500) and NVDX (2X Nvidia). I also include newer stocks with big potential (I think at least) ECO, CRML, and CCOI. Basically my current strategy is 60 percent in long term safe gains (EFTS and big stocks like Nvidia, google etc.) and then the other 40 percent in super risky plays with larger potential growth. It’s worked so far I’m sitting at a little under 50k as an 18 year old.
This is how the rest of the week is gonna play out !! Earnings are gonna Bang !! And ECO news come in KOOL … markets ATH’s again !!!’ Bank on it !! I am …
